Azerite Trait Tuning September 17

As mentioned in the Reddit AMA last Friday, we’re working on balance tuning for Azerite Armor traits. We’re planning to make the following changes during this week’s maintenance period. Note that there are more changes already in the works; this is just a first pass, focused on bringing some of the biggest outliers up (or down) to more acceptable levels.

General
  • Archive of the Titans: Primary stat bonus increased by 20%
  • Laser Matrix: Damage reduced by 30%
  • Thunderous Blast: Damage reduced by 35%

Death Knight
  • (Frost) Frozen Tempest: Damage increased by 100%

Druid
  • (Feral) Blood Mist: Damage increased by 125%

Hunter
  • (Beast Mastery) Feeding Frenzy: Damage increased by 400%
  • (Marksmanship) Arcane Flurry: Duration increased to 10 seconds, damage reduced by 45%

Mage
  • (Arcane) Brain Storm: Duration increased to 30 seconds, Intellect bonus reduced by 75%
  • (Fire) Firemind: Intellect bonus increased by 30%

Monk
  • (Windwalker) Iron Fists: Required targets reduced to 3
  • (Windwalker) Swift Roundhouse: Damage bonus reduced by 55%

Rogue
  • (Assassination) Shrouded Suffocation: Damage bonus reduced by 40%

Shaman
  • (Elemental/Enhancement) Natural Harmony: Secondary stat bonuses increased by 40%

Warlock
  • (Affliction) Sudden Onset: Damage bonus reduced by 30%
  • (Demonology) Demonic Meteor: Damage increased by 200%
  • (Destruction) Flashpoint: Duration increased to 10 seconds, Haste bonus increased by 25%

Warrior
  • (Fury) Simmering Rage: Damage increased by 35%

How about you make the lower performing traits suck less instead of nerfing everything else?

You guys keep talking about how we want to progress in power, yet you're insistent on constantly nerfing EVERYTHING. That's kind of the opposite of getting powerful.

Azerite gear sucks, bring back tier and master loot.

You thought WW was underrepresented currently in arena? Without RSK hitting hard we actually have nothing, no utility and low dmg... on my way to warlock tier. I agree RSK trait stacking is bad design, but it was the only thing making WW even somewhat relevant. Not sure what we offer now, especially when compared to our stronger brother Arms Warrior.
Because nerfing Swift Roundhouse was certainly the answer to WW's troubles. 10/10 balance changes ezclap see you guys in another month for more nerfs.
Why even nerf any on the traits? Just buff the damn crappy ones. All you are doing is shifting one for the other. Jesus H Christ, you guys just have no idea what you are doing.

I like how the design team claims that Azerite gear is dynamic, fun, and interesting on the level of old tiers and legendaries but then nerf the one thing that changed that actually changed the Windwalker rotation.

Ion is incompetent.
Free reforges for everyone please. It's rude to make us choose something and then have it become the wrong choice.
How does Unholy get no changes so far? We have some of the worst offending azerite traits in the entire game.

Last Surprise (also currently bugged and double dipping on our -12% damage aura)
Horrid Experimentation
Cankerous Wounds

Almost all of those are worse than Gutripper/Unstable Flames/Elemental Whirl.
Feral still needs help in aoe and single target
wait, so your solution to the flustercluck called azerite armor is to nerf everything to shiznits? Instead of actually fixing the problem? what kind of half-assed attempt at fixing things is that?
