STOP FORCING ME TO WEAR A DRESS!!!

General Discussion
All my shaman wants is to be able to wear a leather look. I leveled him before classes with different pre-40 armor types had their gear standardized and I really liked how he looked wearing leather – he had a much more down to earth, naturey look than is really possible with mail. As it is he has to cling to the handful of “mail” items that look like leather, which sucks.

Shamans generally got the short end of the stick in terms of transmog I think.

I've taken to making "non-robed" versions of my mage gear using tabards, shirts, and unobtrusive chest slot items. Here's some examples:

The same concept might work for your Shaman.

Nice to see another mage rocking a similar transmog!

Ah good idea. I'm just super OCD about wearing complete sets. It wouldn't bother me near as much if a Mail tunic for this same set wasn't already in the game.

PvP Vendors would have fixed this as I could just choose the non dress version. They don't exist anymore either though for also dumb reasons.
Opps I thought it was my oldest daughter thread. I swear she going to die in blue jeans and t shirt.
Transmog.

I hate wearing robes on most of my characters, i see it as a low poly cone attached to my character, and think it's ugly.

They really need to up their game on item physics. They've been slowly making things 3D over the years with the advent of belt buckles and thick pants in WotLK, but never seem to want to take the plunge with cloth.

Simple solution: Hide skirt toggle.

Leave it off, dresses are dresses. Turn it on, all chest armor that comes with a skirt is cut at the waist ant is now just a shirt.
Dresses allow for ventilation.
a really long shirt is what people wore for a long time. can stay cooler that wearing pants. but guys like to wrap their junk.

Hey those look great! I like mogging my "dress" toons to pants sometimes. Just for a different look.
hahahahahahahah…...Thank you OP for the title, hella funny. Made me smile!
I believe in MoP, enhancement shaman got pants when elemental/resto got dresses. There was a lot of call for it, and I don't really understand why they backed off that system.

I think part of it might be that the unique enhance looks no longer count as having completed the "set" anymore, under the collection tab.

Come on he's a Tauren! They have Hella Hairy Legs! unless of coarse, he is a Sashayer…….
Melee classes should never have dresses. How can we run around like headless chickens in a dress.
I wish they'd give us an option to "tuck in" our robes. It's really set to set, and race to race if I like the look of robes on a character. Keep the chest texture but hide the robe bottom so you can see the pants and shoes (for once)

It would give us way now options.

I want to wear the Fierce Combatant's Armor on my Shaman but it comes with a dress.

What? I haven't heard of any dresses with armor stats. Aren't they all like rp clothes with no stats?
Kill the one in the dress!!

* Looks at own transmog *

Uh oh....

Ummm... so I was intrigued by your collar and looked at your mog. Why does that shirt look so different on you? (Nice mog btw).
Hey, I love my plate mail skirts. (Even though the whole concept of an ankle-length plate skirt is a bit weird to me - wouldn't it be reeeeally heavy? But whatever, I guess I'm just that awesome.)

But I certainly have days when I'm not feeling the skirt. I completely agree that robes should have a 'hide skirt' option. Also, some leg items come in skirt form, so I'd like a way to switch back and forth between skirt and pants.

Will tank in skirt for food.
Mog??
