Demo is the worst spec in the game,

It is a good thing viable has a real and published definition that can be referenced that isnt subjective. "Capable of working, functioning, or developing adequately." Taken straight from merriam-webster. Demo checks those boxes, but can confirm that we are talking different subjects and are picking fights just to fight. The word you are looking for is optimal, or "Most desirable or satisfactory." If you want what is viable AND optimal, Affliction is there for you.

On a side note, we aren't all the same skill level, so odds are you won't be dead last in every raid group. Demo may not be very good, but it can still down content just fine in most situations. That said, I'm done with this argument and moving on with my life.

A fallacy isn't a valid argument. An argument from semantics is a fallacy. Language is just the medium we use to communicate ideas, nothing more or less. And while you're arguing terminology that has a definition, that definition is predicated upon qualifiers that aren't objective. Did you happen to gloss over the word 'adequately' in the definition you provided? Know what the definition of adequate is? Satisfactory or acceptable in quality or quantity. Do you not see the subjective rabbit hole down which you're trying to run? I could carry this on to the definition of satisfactory and to expectations and on and on. The only thing objective here is that you're objectively wrong when you try to argue that viable is objective. Nice try though. If you care to come back and demonstrate your poor logic further feel free. I'll be here :)

Ignoring the blatantly obvious that makes me want to slap the developers, your performance is still impressive beyond words.
I will stay demo anyway, screw it.

Honestly I’m happy someone’s making demo work so I’m impressed with your performance
Demo is serviceable for me and I'm going to stick it out. I'm not getting pigeonholed into boreffliction for another raid tier.
I’m lucky enough that my guild lets me do my thing and trusts me enough to decide if I am a hindrance and need to swap affy. So far I only did that for heroic g’huun early pulls but we had enough warlocks for our kill I was able to go demo again.

I keep telling them wait until we get buffed properly then you’ll all see :)

Sorry for being a bit off topic, but are you finding that summon dreadstalkers isn't giving you demonic core stacks on MOTHER? I am pretty sure this was happening to me for the past two weeks.

I just went through my logs and it appears they weren’t giving any cores. Jeez no wonder demos so far behind on that fight, I think I hadn’t noticed since I was using power siphon during winds which masked the expected cadence of two core procs. Definitely worth making a bug report for (along with the strange rare one that eats a shard on shadow bolt cast instead of creating one).

Crap I thought that's what it was. I kept seeing my WA for shadow's bite pop up but had no stacks of MC. Thought it was my weak aura bugging out :(
