Cm Yth recent post?

General Discussion
“If you think the tweet was about you then maybe you should evaluate if you're doing that behavior or not. If you read the tweet and think "Wow people do that? That's awful", then you probably weren't who he was talking about. That tweet isn't about the WoW community, its a vocal minority using Twitter who are toxic and awful. People that specifically tweet at him with anonymous accounts. It's easy to ignore (you'd be amazed at the things people say to us that literally nothing bothers you as a CM) but it fills up your mentions with garbage and it gets annoying because it makes it hard to use.

I don't know how this is news, I do the same thing like almost everyone else in this industry that has a Twitter. If someone angrily tweets at me stuff about the game that isn't remotely constructive or just attacks me, I block you too. I like being social with the community, same as Lore. However, it gets to a point when people are spewing things at you just because you're reachable rather than actually trying to engage with you as a person about the game we both love.

Let's not make click-bait threads that are taking things from a personal Twitter account out of context for what they actually are. Locking for obvious reasons.”

The original twitter post went something a long the lines of I’m sick of your idiot ranting you dickheads. I don’t respond to stuff about ingame issues on my Twitter.

Is this an attack on the community further by another CM? I lately have been vocal about some things on the forum I haven’t been liking about the game and would like to see changed, do I fit into the category this guy is talking about?

Is it wrong to share the same opinions as many others and be vocal about it?

I didn’t have a problem with Lore saying this on his Twitter but for a CM to come onto the forums and call out people who are concerned with the game who try to make meaningful posts seems very unprofessional. Is this a billion dollar company, or is this pre teens lashing out in a school yard?

This left a terrible taste in my mouth if this is how a company chooses to represent itself.
Omni, this didn't need another thread. The whole thing was overblown, taken out of context and intentionally misunderstood.

This isn't helping. Please just let it go. The whole thing is dumb.
Find a new company.
Oh shut up. And learn how to quote.
shut up
You're just looking for a reason to be mad.
Well Lore did say on his post it was about in game issues tying it to the WoW community.

This guy is practically coming to the forums to say the exact same thing saying if you make a ranting post about your opinion on the game you are a ranting idiotic **%!%%@! head?

This is supposed to be a professional, not kid defending his buddy who is catching some heat on the school yard.
I'm the OP of that thread Yths did that. Yth is a pretty cool guy, and is obviously trying his best to make a blunder his friend made go away.

It's out there and Lore's going to have a bad week. Should the guy get fired? Not my call. If it was someone on my team who's been around as long as Lore, a week mandatory paid vacation and a requirement to delink his personal twitter from any association with Blizzard and that would be the end of it unless something like it happened again.

Bottom line: Yth is *not* intentionally attacking the community at large. Is he attacking *me*? Maybe a little, but that's fine. I've given it to him before as well.
Here's the thing, block the people that's fine. Don't make a toxic post about it when you're one of the main faces people see for a company. Keep it to yourself. That kind of stuff costs people jobs and if he isn't reprimanded for posting it something is wrong with the hierarchy of the business. It shows they don't care about anything anymore.

It was posted we're not allowed to tell people to do that, stop breaking forum rules please.
Your first thread got deleted Omni. There is a reason for that. If you want to keep posting on these forums, you'll respect when Blizzard deletes your thread and won't repost it again.
What we REALLY need to discuss is Yth's breakfast this morning.

French toast...........WTF!

I cannot believe Yth betrayed pancakes like that!

TRAITOR!!!

Someone get the tar and feathers.

People actually don't get a notification of their thread being deleted. Things disappearing around here are often a bug, too.

It shows they dont care about !@#$bags flaming thier employees on social medias that aren't linked to the things theyre flaming about.

I think its a fantastic statement. It shows current and furute %^-*bags thats they cant just be !@#$bags without consequences and if youre offended by it then theres obviously something wrong on your end.
More bad PR. More "players" trying to make excuses in the forums. Business as usual.

Pretty much this, yes.
Isn't this the weekend for Yisthens? I already saw Yisthens upset in an earlier thread. Today of all days doesn't seem like the day to be trying to get away with forum violations.

Actually they sort of do get a notification, which is when they don't see their thread on the 1st page of the forums. The OP clearly saw this (or he wouldn't have reposted this) and decided "Hey, I know Blizzard just deleted my thread, but I should totally repost it!! What's the worst thing that could happen?"

He can get banned, that's what can happen.
If you think you might be one of the people Yths is talking about, you are. Stop being a garbage person, don't involve CM's/Dev's personal Twitter accounts, and keep your cricitism where it belongs. I.E. here.
