Why all the hate for twinks?

I really don’t understand. If you’re leveling in a bg all you really need is ele force and every slot of gear filled and you can compete, you should also be using ele force when leveling anyways. In the bgs the number of twinks on each side is usually the same. There are occasional outlier games where the twink ratio is 1:10 but it doesnt happen often. Also, stop wasting your time complaining on the forums and level out of the bracket. Go play your precious endgame that you claim we’re all so bad at.
Hate for twinks (I believe were recently renamed "NEETs"?) should not exist at all. They have every right to play as we do. People should show compassion for NEETs rather than hate. Imagine if you loved playing a game so much but were not good at it at all. You'd be frustrated. Making a NEET gives the player a way to gain a feeling of accomplishment rather than having to keep logging in and being salty about everything. Even if the accomplishment is an illusion/placebo, it works.

So remember that next time you're going to make a thread, trying to take pokes at or suggesting getting rid of NEETs what you are truly asking. Behind all the out-dated insults, lack of accomplishments and saltiness are real people who are just frustrated. Have you never felt that way and even though you were lashing out, hoped someone would comfort you?
Question.

Are 20's still in the Free to Play bracket?

Yeah we’re in 20-29. We can actually compete against 29s now tho

You should put elemental force on your weapons then if it's that great.

This has not been the case in any of the games I've been in. I've been in games that were 4 twinks on the other team and we had one, we had one twink and they had 0, and games where there was 3 twinks and we had none.

I really don’t understand.

It's because you live in a fantasy world where you think the problem is one enchant, not fotm classes being brought to unmanagable levels with full bis, full enchants (that sidestep blizz's "scaling magic"), gems, and unbalanced weapon procs/trinkets.

I do well against the op classes most of the time, it's rough, but at least it feels like there is some sense of counterplay I can do. Against twinks it's mostly just die in two globals, reminds of !@#$fest that was legion world pvp.

Squeaky wheels get the grease. I like to pvp and I wanted to level up my allied races while queuing for bgs and dungeons. BGs have just become a miserable experience, so I'm gonna complain because now I can't do something I used to enjoy.

It''s not like twinking is healthy for the game either, anyone leveling and trying out pvp isn't even going to be able to learn and get better. They get just globaled and have no opportunity to even improve or see what they're doing wrong.

I played another MMO well before WoW ever came out. A friend that I played with was one of the best players in that game. He came over in 2006 to try out this newer MMO. After playing a couple BGs while leveling, he said to our guild "man, I must be the worst player in the entire game." When asked "what do you mean?" He said "I wanted to try and learn PVP but there was these guys with glowing weapons in every match who kill me instantly and I can't even hit them. They would laugh after killing me and flex their muscles." We had to explain the truth about them which him from being perplexed to compassionate.
Low level bgs have always been a joke. Thats why you get rewards for winning and just some honor for losing. Its casual gameplay. Also, there is a reason its a terrible way to level up, its not meant for new players. Its for people that actually know what to do. I was there before, stepping into bgs with nothing but leveling greens and it was part of the learning curve.

I mean, its understandable why its not meant for new players. They step in bgs looking like clowns with 5 slots filled and get one shot by even normal levelers with looms on

Let's be real... anyone who ques up one low lvl bg, get's steamrolled by twinks and says "whelp PvP is garbage I'm never doing that again" wouldn't last long in PvP anyway.

Yup even if nobody was so geared out they would still be garbage players and get beat. people rage about twinks they aren't an issue. > see survival hunters in legion or disc priests mages. etc

Can't say I've ever heard of anyone getting killed by a NEET then saying that.
twinks are obnoxious

A few weeks ago I was queuing on a character and it was a twink every other game. I played 10 games on another low level character on sunday. Every single one had at least one twink, some were even groups of twinks in most of them.

The issue isn't "one game", it's the pattern of twinks throwing off balance by a large margin and making games unfun for a lot of people.

People will complain about anything. That doesn't mean all complaints are invalid, and that no one should ever complain about anything ever.

I mean of course no one's said those exact words... it was an example of the mentality that someone would need to have to be dissuaded from PvP by twinks one-shotting them.

I was replying to a comment that said twinks where unhealthy for the game in general because it discourages new players from PvPing once they get globaled by a twink. My point is that any player who is thin-skinned enough to give up on PvP after being owned in a low lvl bg wouldn't survive long in a PvP environment anyway.

Let's just remove the twinking factor for the sake of argument... a new player in questing greens/greys with a few empty slots is going to be dominated in a low lvl bg even if there is not a single twink in the instance. Veteran players on alts with boas, or even just full dg/quest gear, will still kill them in a matter of seconds with the new player having zero chance of counterplay. Their lack of basic game knowledge and any sort of gear means they will still be completely steamrolled. When that happens if they get discouraged and give up rather than being motivated to get the gear/skill themselves... they would inevitably give up on PvP anyway.

For context, I don't have any twinks nor do I have any plans to make any. That is just one aspect of the game that has no interest to me, I level my alts in bgs but low lvl pvp to me isn't fun enough to commit the time/gold required for a proper twink. Just not my cup of tea. But I see nothing wrong with them, and all the carebears whining that twinking is ruining the PvP community to me are just overly sensitive crybabies who need to get over it and let people play the game in the way they want. The most common "logical" argument that is made against them is the one I replied to initially, that is discourages new players from PvPing. IMO that is a bogus argument that holds no water once you stop and think about it for a few minutes.

You grabbed onto the "one game" part of my comment bizarrely enough... and yet missed the entire point.

If someone get's so upset and discouraged at losing low lvl bgs that they give up on PvP entirely that person is not someone who ever was going to be a PvPer. There is inherently adversity in PvP, there will always be that one guy you come against that just owns you, whether it be because of gear, talents, skill, team comp, etc.. whatever the cause may be it happens at every level of PvP. If you are the type of person to give up on something when you come up against adversity then PvP was simply never going to your thing.

Yeah, really bizarre that I locked on that "one game" part that you used to imply that they were just going to give up quickly. /sarcasm

If you see a pattern of gross imbalance that isn't addressed, you're going to think the game is kinda !@#$. It's why blizzard at least tries to balance things somewhat. It's why classes get nerfs and buffs.

I don't think anyone is naive enough to think low level pvp will be balanced, it's the degree of imbalance that is occurring right now.
