BGs are broken

Battlegrounds
I mean, if you're trying to gear up using bgs, you're "doing it wrong" anyway.

Much more efficient methods of getting gear:

- Warfronts spam (sometimes the 340 gear warforges/titanforges)
- Mythic+ dungeon spam (especially!!)
- RBGs/Arena (if you're into that)
- Normal Uldir PUGs (easy to get into, and drops iLvL 355 gear)
- any and all World Bosses (chance at 355-370 gear)

If you play Horde it should be fairly easy to get the daily 105 conquest points via bgs, since most of the time Horde wins. If you're trying to farm battlegrounds conquest points as an Alliance, then yeah I can kind of see where the OP is coming from. But the point is, farming for better gear via battlegrounds is pretty inefficient compared to some of the other options I listed ^ above.

You what this keep being said and I spent my time gearing in pvp since pvp venders came out and that how I like to gear and should be able too keep gearing this way. People who keep say oh noes you doing it wrong should then start playing this game for me. As some one who pays my own account I should be able to gear and play how I like rather than running countless dungeon runs that turn up nothing for me for days or weeks on end. Pvp gear boom earn my points get the reward I know.
You’re 361. What exactly is your complaint?

I do not believe you did all that on only 8 hours a week.. Just capping my conquest takes an hour a night

You really can.

I work around 55 ish hours a week and get a solid two hours a night of playtime after the kids go to bed. I do emissaries every 3 days. Most of the time you can do 3 emissaries in 8 world quests by hitting the tortollan or champions of azeroth in the zone of another emissary. I get a low m+ in on Thursday usually. Try to cap conq points on Friday and Saturday since I tend to stay up an extra 1/2 hour.

Just semi-schedule your days and you maximize your time in game.

2 hours a night is 14 hours a week, not 8 hours a week. Also, the preceding poster claimed "most world quests", not just emissaries. Your schedule is an efficient one but still takes more time than some people have.

If you have 360+ ilvl then you have a serious advantage. Casuals and hardcore raiders/pvpers are currently mixed and it sucks. If you disagree it means you have a high item level and you want to be over powered.

The reality is that not everyone is hardcore and has endgame gear yet.

Why are people in endgame gear 360+ playing people with 300-330?
There should be matching involved here, where people in 330 play each other. People in 340 play each other. 350, 360, 370, etc.

Also why are premade groups mixed with randoms? Its unfair and no fun. 9 out of 10 games my team loses, horde and alliance. The answer is not "get in a premade forhead" "get good" "get better gear". The answer is closer to Matching based on qualifying characteristics like ilvl and premades vs premades only.

A fresh 120 ilvl280 and fight a person in ilvl380 how is this fun? for anyone? Even the 380 would rather fight similar ilvls for a challenge. It just gets old either getting owned or owning. That is... unless you are 12 and have no conscious.

Looooooool this was me at a fresh 120 on a mw monk even not even a priest

Blizzard could have had scaling be as effective as templates in reducing the effect of gear. They just nerfed scaling because of whines which resulted in gear being more important than in Legion - although it also had an effect in Legion.

TBH i think templates worked better, everyone had pretty standard health and did pretty standard damage. you knew a medium hit was ~250k, a big hit was ~500k, and a nuke was ~1mil. ilvl mattered, but only up to a point, and it couldn't save you from losing to someone more skilled on a fresh 110 in greens.

personally i think the cries about lack of customizing stats where just a cover for people who reminisced about sitting in BiS raid tier letting their gear carry them. templates made skill matter over all else and they just didn't like that.

There were two camps arguing against templates. One was as you say, and those were the people who argued against gear scaling. They got what they wanted, too, with gear scaling nerfed twice, once in beta and once in live. The other were the people who wanted customization but also wanted strong gear scaling, like myself. I grant the raiders who wanted their gear to carry them were in the majority, but some of us really did want customization without making ilvl important.

I don’t think anyone is arguing someone will top dmg.
Also news flash you are playing a MMO, it is fair . YOU have the SAME tools as everyone to make your own premade . There is no excuse to keep saying its "unfair" when you are playing an aspect of the game that will be better with more people . Its encouraged by blizz with the bnet quick join feature . Playing with others is ALLOWED thank you and no one is going to make me feel *guilty* just becauae others are too lazy to use the same tools to make their own expirence less miserable. I am not saying you have to play in a group i que solo aswell quite often and do pretty decent . Its pretty even . Yes, sometimes youll be in those kinds of bgs but at least the que times are very short ,if you are alliance that is .

Im lazy right now but i do the same amount in my rated bgs 2mil to almoat 5 mil on mw . I have recent screen shots somwhere on my pc but im too lazy to look for them atm . Haha btw mw healing isnt even busted we lack so much since they took out mist walk compared to hpallies or disc priests rn . I wont say mw arnt good but if you think we are broken go roll one then come back to me.

what would you hope to achieve with that? if the point is to whittle pvp down to I press X therefore you press Y making me counter with Z, then customizing your stats isn't really relevant.
I'm a casual player, 3 hours a night, and just made it to 370. Does it give me an advantage? Yep, sure does: better stats (mastery, crit, haste), and bigger Azerite traits - but I need this because I'm old, slow, and stubborn.

The down side is that all of my alts are sitting on the shelf, still at level 110. I've also had to do an ungodly number of Azerite WQs, which i conveniently do during my Horde queue times.

What if.... you're a resto druid and you just like to beat up on dps no matter their ilvl? Asking for a friend.
ilvl doesn't matter. Competence and Azerite traits matter. You lack both.
In this thread: People trying to rationalize gear advantages in a competitive pvp environment. Your skill (or lack thereof) isn't the sole deciding factor.

Gear is the most balanced its ever been is a joke. Legion was the most balanced its ever been. Just because you didn't like it or thought it was boring doesn't mean it wasn't balanced.
Lol what are you smoking, the way scaling is right now you are way better off in a lower item level with good stats than a higher item level right now.
I think any reasonable person understands logically, from actual experience, there is some disparity in gear power. How big is the disparity? I'm not sure we know. But let's look at what blizzard said on the issue:

"A player who is higher level than you and/or has a higher iLevel than you are going to have an advantage."

That's pretty darn clear.

I'm a bit conflicted in my opinion on the matter for max-level BGs. I know there is scaling to make things less difficult for fresh 120s/lower-ilvls, but I would still like to see a much faster catch-up gearing system for such folks (or alts) at this stage in the game. If my "main" is already receiving 370 ilvl rewards from grinding conquest, fresher casually-played 120s should at least be able to get to a 330-340 ilvl extremely quickly rather than have to plod toward 320 for a few weeks. After that fast catch-up, I would still expect each toon to have to do the same conquest grind for the 355 pieces before 370 ones though.
Gear up like everyone else.
It's called Progression.

Roleplay.

But I'm also not a fan of making PVP pure memorization.
