Priest "Fade"

General Discussion
So the dictionary definition of fade is "gradually grow faint and disappear". DISAPPEAR as in become INVISIBLE.
The spell states that it "removes ALL threat for 10 seconds" other than it causing you to fade.
Problem: IT DOES NEITHER OF THESE.
It does not make you disappear, and it does not remove ALL threat.
IF you are in a group it will remove most of your threat but not all and if you are not in a group it certainly does not @#$# remove all threat.
Please fix the spell so that it makes you fade and it removes ALL threat.
What you're talking about is more what shadowmeld does. Drops ALL threat.

Fade is meant to be used for when you pick up a mob but the tank should really have it instead. You fade, it drops enough threat to run somewhere else, and you heal as you should be. There's also the pvp version, talent, and glyph version we don't talk about.

The tooltip should probably be updated though.. it doesn't remove all threat. I'd know, because I know what fading after an mc'd mob does... but.. that's a problem with the tooltip, not the spell.
8.1 Patch Notes

Priest Fade changed to Dim - become dimmer and less likely to be attack enemies. Lose most, but not all threat because you're dim and losing all of the threat didn't occur to you
I feel like you can probably excuse some creative word usage on Blizzard's part. Unless you're going to complain that Bladestorm doesn't literally conjure clouds that rain swords on a Warrior's enemies.
Someone explained to me once that the reason for it not dropping combat when you're solo is that your 0% threat is still "higher than every other source currently aggroing the mob"

I suspect that it might be a bit wordy for the tooltip though to say that it will cause the mob to go after the NEXT highest source of threat.

/Shrug
So now we get to play a game where the dictionary definition of a spells name doesn't match up with its actual mechanic.

And go!
When i was leveling my first character (a priest) i really did think that Fade made me invisible.
Cower as I flay your mind!!

Yup. We all believed the tooltip when we were nubbies. I tried to go into a cave with the small bear people with sharp teeth with Fade. Didn't get far. Nope, not far at all.

Can we complain about this now?
