Sorry but mobile gaming is the future

i find myself playing mobile more than anything else these days, yes even wow.

Most of us have busy lives and the mobile games compliment that life style.

When i get home im usually getting ready for bed, or have other obligations. Its rare i can sit down in front of my laptop and get in some dungeons or raiding anymore. If it wasnt for the level boost i prbably wouldnt even be playing this game.

I can understand the logic around the new diablo mobile game. This is the way things are going now.
bwahahaha no it really isnt. Most mobile games dont last long nor do they retain players for any real length of time. once you hit the pay wall, and the whales show up the game pretty much dies off.

Mobile gaming is for people who dont really play PC or console video games or just want something to do at work on their phones
I don't think it is. But I also don't view mobile gaming as a threat to PC gaming, sooo..
Put WoW on Switch.

Mobile and console in one nice, neat package.

DO EET
I feel both strange and old for being upset that people spend so much time on their phones, and that my PC is becoming a relic (apparently?).
Mobile gaming is the here and now.

The cpu in my phone is better than the one in the PC that I had a few years ago. All mobile needs is plug-in or wireless 10th generation Google Glass-llke VR (sorry, but I don't want to wear a Darth-Vader helm) and desktop gaming will be only for shut-ins. lol
On the upside, the people who can't get their noses out of their damn phones are the ones who walk into water fountains.
They said photography was the end of painting, too.

Nothing new. You're the one changing. I've been playing on a computer for almost 40 years. It's what I'll keep doing. I hate small screens and the inevitable hand cramps from actively using a touch screen.

I won't play on a phone/tablet.
Mobile games are mostly shallow, money grabbing versions of a better console or PC game. If mobile is the future, gaming is dead.
I dunno. "AAA" publishers have been wrong about the future being a lot of things, like "singleplayer is dead" or "nobody wants horror games", only to be proven wrong by indies that go on to be incredibly successful.
I never got the read that any wow players felt threatened by the prospect of mobile games. They just don’t care for them. That is different. I’ve never played one that wasn’t crap riddled with micro transactions. I’d rather not play games at all if my only option were mobile games.

Screw that I play games on a PC.

Hey! I enjoy my being a shut-in!
I find the analogy similar to saying that people will just read tweets from now on, and that novels will cease to be written.

That one of my assignments in high school was to memorize the unforgettable opening from "A Tale of Two Cities", the "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times." introduction. But that in 2018, we'll just say "things was ok." and call it close enough.

Mobile gaming DOES have its place. But the human mind will always crave deeply creative outlets. And you just can't do that on a phone. I just upgraded my PC monitor from a 27" to a 29" ... and you think you're going to recreate that experience on a device that is limited to about 7 watts of power and a 6" screen?

Good luck with that...

Sorry but the second Im forced to play ANY game on mobile I take my hobby dollars elsewhere.
Simple as that.
By this same logic, all movies should be replaced with 10 minute YouTube videos.

I get that there's a large global market of people whose only gaming-capable device is their phone. I get that people spend time on busses, trains, planes, in the bathroom, on quick breaks at work or school, or any of the other circumstances where mobile is the only option.

I just hope that at least some gaming companies will continue to focus on the peak of their art, which is on capable devices offering the most satisfying controls, immersive experiences, and enduring engagement. Mobile's got many advantages but it's not that.
Maybe for you, but it will never have a place in my life. I work a job that doesnt allow me to sit on my phone all day.

When i get home i have a nice PC, with nice controls, and a big monitor. If im going to game for hours im not going to do it on a phone. Phones are for toilet games.
