I see a lot of Stockholm syndrome going on here.

Think about it guys, no one has to play this crap, you choose to. It’s not fun, so why stick around?

the potential of the new content needs....the old content. Especially with the Rep taking center stage. Don't work the rep now, won't see 8.1's content. So its WQ's done from need, not desire for some. Same for gear...we have ilevel to play scaling games.

this char for example is reaching nothing to do since 7th and champions are exalted. Core to the main story points. Save the alliance and save the world.

TBH...I exalted to be done. And to future proof. In another WoW where rep is not king....I'd not have done this. In this wow at some point I will predict 7th commander will not give me the time of day unless exalted.

Unless something story need down the road goes paragon for unlocks...7th and champions content is playable as soon as dl'd. this was my goal. if they go paragon unlocks, that's when I'd question how long I sub tbh.

Now order of embers I did for RP fun. Only crew I feel a connection with. So I exalted them for giggles. rest, yeah...., not feeling that drive to help them. Unless something in 8.1 and beyond says we have to exalted all just not driving "content". It will happen only because I do caches. Because I paid for a 6 months sub so may as well use my time lol.
I'm staying busy and having fun:
  • Raiding 2/wk with guild (AotC, starting M this week)
  • Alt run 1/wk with guild
  • M+ (my favorite) two or three nights a week
  • Casual stuff (islands 4/wk, emissary 4/day, war front 1/2 weeks) I do over coffee when I don't want to think much. :D
  • That said, WoW is a game, and there's nothing wrong with taking a break if you're not having fun. Much more to life than any one game.
    Boring For All

    Boring For All

Warfronts - Quite rewarding from a gear perspective, but prettttty boring. Excuse me while I just sit over here and chop wood for 20 minutes. Lack of engagement.

It is not the game's fault if you choose to sit out of the action and afk chop wood for 20 minutes. That role can be filled by like 2 people running wood on and off for the first half of the scenario. You don't have to do it -- someone who wants to semi-afk will almost assuredly do it. Same for iron or whatever. Any more than 2 or 3 and you get people semi-afk waiting on cart respawns.

Like 75% of the group should be helping push camps, defending from assault waves, completing events, and so on (barring short breaks to turn in resources and such).

I'm not gonna say the whole lane pushing thing is super duper engaging, but it's certainly more involved than afking with the axe.
    BfA has plenty to do!

Just today I ran Molten Core and AQ20 on 4 alts!

I love posts that claim there is nothing to do, then go on to list everything there is to do along with their reasons why they don't want to do it. It speaks volumes to the cognitive dissonance held by the QQ crowd.

The thing about it is, the stuff you refuse to do because it's beneath you, we don't want to do either.

I notice, for instance, that you got the 5000 world quest achievement in October of 2017. And yet you haven't reached the 10k achieve. That tells me that you don't like to do world quests and you stopped as soon as you got your rep.

So why should other people do stuff you hate and won't do?
A lot of people are unhappy that you actually have to do mechanics in mythic+ now.

A lot of elitists are feeling pleased that mythic+ is now their exclusive sandbox content, when originally it was presented deceptively as content for casuals. Which it was in Legion.

Um, we had too last expansion as well. It was just a bit more forgiving, outside of the Maw of Souls timer. People who did 20 plus keys had to be on point with their stuns, cc, interrupts and situational awareness.

10 keys feel like 20 keys with certain affixes. Next week teeming, explosive and fortified = 10 and done for those who want the best box for the week. It does inspire people, nor incentivize them to try. Also, the trash is insane in these dungeons. Just too much of it honestly.
ive not log on my main in three weeks. They both at 353. Not a lot to do really. can not for life of me to see why i should log on. i just level to 110 not going to 120 don't see reason why. Yeah link accounts allows allied races. Not sure why but it allows me to do allied races. Not going to look gift horse in mouth. i can max it out. This main one i have just 6 toons left before all at 80+. need more space.

I only do enough WQs to get the emissary rewards. Only takes a few minutes and the AP is worth it, I think.

Nothing elitist about enjoying M+. Just have to turn off your ego about how many +++s are involved. Get together with some friends, make a key, and see how far you can push it. Even missing timer can be a win, if you sort out a better strat for doing that run next time. Every week I learn the new dungeons just a bit better, including new routes, new skips, new tricks. Every week they feel just a bit easier.*

*Except this week. Fortified-Teeming-Explosive is gonna be craazzzyyyy!! :D
In some ways I am happy. For years I wanted to go back and do some old content. Now I have the time to

level an allied race and get heritage armor to make them all jelly.im almost exalted with zandalar on my main.so ill be ready for zandalari trolls in 8.1.i mite lvl a zandalari troll monk for the heritage armor.

thats all im doing in bfa allied races.

    This guy gets it.

Every expansion is boring after a few months, doing the same thing over again was never fun and that's been the design since vanilla.

Leveling different alts, in different zones/factions/specs is fun to me however.

This guy does not get it. Boring after a few months? Dude the game was boring 3 weeks in. The OP hit the nail on the head with every point and you paid for the new races....but you have to grind for them? LOLZ.

I would like to add that professions are the crappiest they have ever been. I have zero reasons to do them this xpac.

If this xpac is the new meta for Blizz....casino RNG, queue'd to death then maybe just kill the game now....maybe you can make it mobile and go for that new target audience across the ocean.
There is lots to do but it is very mundane and casino. Hiring gamers to game the gamers is what gets us here. We need more thoughtful and artistic developers to overcome this but it seems Activision Blizzard are more interested in bro gamers to make Azeroth great again.
Right now, I'm grinding polished pet tokens to get the Horde specific BfA battle pets. At the rate the game randomly gives PP's, and since you need an additional 1000 polished pet tokens to expand your pet portfolio to 1500, and since I'm currently working my way up to /800 unique battle pets...

I'll probably be still working on this (horrible) battle pet obsession well after the next one or two EXPANSIONS drop.

That's a bold assumption. If you think I stopped doing WQs a year ago you are sadly mistaken. I might not have done as many because I got rep capped. But I was still farming AP, especially on alts. I was still gathering gold. I was still doing emissaries for the paragon caches which contained leggos and mounts. I was even doing the Warden Tower quests for the easy honor and marks for transmog.

I was also doing a lot of the other content during the last 10 months of Legion. I was raiding on five different characters. I was farming transmog from old content. I was crafting. I was unlocking artifact appearances. I had plenty to do.

The same is true for BfA. Yes, I am rep capped with all six factions on my main. But I still have two other 120s to work on. I have dungeons to run. I'm doing warfronts and island adventures. When I get bored of my current capped toons I have three others ready to start leveling through BfA.

The point is I'm not whining here that there is nothing to do. Because there is plenty to do. I'm happy to spread it out and make it last. I had two vacation periods from work at the beginning of October and November this year. Nine days each. I was online for a minimum of eight hours each day just doing stuff.

When I get home from work in a couple of hours I might just sit down for an hour and do some fishing to unwind. Take just a bit of personal responsibility for making the most of the game. I could go to Disneyland with a bad attitude and claim there is nothing to see or do that is interesting. It doesn't make it true.

dude there like 15 old raids and 36 dungeons that drop pets. that a nightmare. I agree with you.
