Rsham need to lose wind shear

Arenas
Actually, I think healers should get their interrupts back.

Especially hpal, the (lol) melee healer.

This would be fine, "anti pruning"

disc/holy would have to have a variation of silence tho... blanket silence would be way to powerful imo...

Plz don’t bring blanket silence back. Spriest can have theirs, but mage, lock, and especially healers should not have a blanket silence.

Regular interrupts are fine but no blanket silence.
The thing with everyday a new complaint and a random part of Rsham kit someone wants removed for some arbitrary reason.

If rDruids were on top, there'd be randoms asking for cyclone to be removed from them, or bash or any cherry picked part of their kit that another healer doesn't have

When resto druids WERE on top they DID lose skull bash. (it was called feral charge at the time)

Blizz specifically stated that a ranged interupt in a healers toolkit was to powerful.

disc/holy already has fear and mind control, we dont want disc/holy being god mode like shadow is
Bring back turn evil so warlocks will stop fckin my day up.

owait. warlocks. LOL
Please stop trying to get skill based mechanics pruned from the game.

Ya'll complain that Rsham are "lul hit 1 button to heal 0 skill healers" and then want to remove skillful mechanics like wtf.

Stop it. This is why we can't have nice things anymore.
Shut up noob
I can’t stand it either OP. You ever watch Cdew play Rsham? It’s obnoxious.

You say this as if wind shear has an opportunity cost, or any cost at all for that matter.
I have to say this, playing rsham at a competitive level is actually hard. I must not be able to click very well with it, cuz there are so many things you can use to save people and I hit none of them.

What I have as paladin:

Divine Favor (talent)
Divine Protection
Bubble
BoP
Freedom
Sacrifice
Aura Mastery
Avenging Wrath/Crusader
HoJ
Edit to add - Repentance

I really can't think off the top of my head what they have other than:

Wind Shear (I miss rebuke)
Tremor Totem
Earthen Shield Totem
Grounding Totem (talent)
Ascendance
Spirit Link Totem
Hex
Purge
Astral Shift
Earthgrab Totem
Stun Totem
Spiritwalker's Grace

I am a bad rsham, and a midway decent hpala. :(

Blizz specifically stated that a ranged interupt in a healers toolkit was to powerful.

RDruids have spammable Roots, spammable Clones, mass Entanglement or a Stun, Vortex, and are nearly impossible to Polymorph/Hex when played right. I think removing interrupt from RDruids toolkit was the right call, they really don't need anymore forms CC.

This also goes for other healers as well. The toolkit that each class has is designed as a whole, and not solely look at by class X has this so class Y should have that. If that were the case, then every class would have an ability similar to Cyclone.

Just look at Monks, practically all their CC is instant. An AoE stun, ranged Gouge, Ring of Peace, ranged Disarm if they so choose, and a lot of mobility that allows them to utilize their toolkit. Imagine if Monks got spammable CC on top of all their instant CC and mobility, do you think that would be fair?

RShams having Wind Shear is basically their form of CC, just like RDruids have their form of CC, Monks have theirs, and so on and so forth. If your main issue is that RShams are too strong right now, then I will tell you right now that Wind Shear is not the reason for it.

It was the same thing earlier on in Legion when Rdruids got the improved Ironbark honor talent that reduced the cooldown etc.. People threw fits everywhere on the forums "lul Rdruid 45 second Pain suppression gg".. Then it got promptly dumpstered, as was Rdruid along with it.

It's always extra funny when its a fire mage or assassination rogues complaining nowadays.. I always get a good laugh when anyone playing either of those specs makes an actual balance complaint against another spec.

I think rsham should get to keep wind shear, but grounding should only tank 1 spell and earthen wall should be a longer cooldown

This is highly unlikely because Resto sham is already dumpster-tier for mythic raiding and M+ and are reliant on earthen wall totem for both of those categories. RSham is rock bottom currently in M+ healer representation by a mile (its basically unplayable in high M+), and rock bottom for mythic Uldir HPS. It's universally regarded as the wheelchair/meme pve healing spec.

As result, any balance changes they might make to nerf Rsham in arena will 99% likely be to stuff that is a non-factor in pve.
Shamans healing is strong atm so they come across as imbalanced. Then people take issue with their other strengths, under the banner of "Shamans are too strong". Even though the things you're now taking issue with have nothing to do with the problem.

I constantly hear people saying things like "rogues should not have kidney!". Kidney is an important spell that is a core part of being a rogue. It seems busted because the current state of Assa is overly powerful in the amount of damage they can do in a given kidney. So do we prune that spell from rogues to satisfy people? No.

The damage is the problem. It just makes everything else feel worse. Makes people start to suggest the removal of things like blind or garrote silence. If the damage feels too high, then the control seems overly punishing and people want it gone!

As for Wind Shear, getting interrupted sucks. You're correct. But being the interrupt healer has been shamans thing since vanilla. They tried giving every healer an interrupt and then reverted that decision, after it became homogeneous. They couldn't however, justify changing shaman to not have one of their greatest strengths, that they'd always had. Its legitimately one of the biggest strengths that shamans have and one of the things that distinguishes them from other healers.

Should every healer have a bubble? How about we give every healer a spam-able CC like clone? Or should we have different strengths an weaknesses that make each healer unique?

Not sure what the point of explaining this is. You'll probably remain unconvinced. Luckily even Blizzard isn't stupid enough to do something as crazy as removing Wind Shear from shaman. So it doesn't really matter what any of us think. Wind Shear is here to stay. Better get used to it You've only had 10+ years to learn to play around it.

Pro tip you should consider: fake cast 1 time like everyone else in the game Jesus
