Has the GCD change ruined any Classes for you?

General Discussion
Being someone that rejects the idea of a "main", I kinda run everything. At least one of everything, in terms of classes. And I noticed that, at least in my gameplay... the changes to the Global Cooldown didn't seem to affect them all equally.

It was hard enough adjusting to Death Knight when they homogenized all the Runes and instead of having 2/2/2 they made it all one type. I had a pretty smooth rotation of using different runes. But I adapted, and eventually found a different rhythm.

I don't have one now. I am just not adapting to this. Not in any way that is FUN. To me, the Death Knight class is kind of dead to me now, which is sad because in Cataclysm that was my jam.

What about you? Is there a particular class that was hit particularly hard for you with the changes to the Global Cooldown?
I only have 2 characters at max at the moment.

Mage really wasn't hurt that bad. Icy veins kinda sucks to be on the gcs, but it isn't terrible. Other things involving fire(the artifact really helped make the spec) are what hurts there. I haven't noticed if the gcs has even had an affect on it.

Paladin hasn't been terrible either. Light of the protector is the one I really notice, but I haven't played a lot of my paladin. It does feel a little more clunky, but no terribly so.
I find it made Fury Warrior feel...off. Not really ruining the spec, but it feels a bit slower than it should, with the feeling being made worse during burst periods.

Otherwise, for characters I've gotten to 120, I havn't really noticed a difference on my Demo Warlock (though in fairness, the one instant-use CD it has is defensive). Havoc DH feels fine, and Survival Hunter is relatively ok, but feels sluggish for different reasons that have more to do with low haste than the GCD change.
I played in vanilla and BC, and came back shortly after BfA.

I’m not nearly as triggered by the GCD as everyone else on the forums seems to be: I feel like it paces PVP well, and it definitely adds pressure in PVE.

It seems fine to me; it doesn’t ruin anything.
I feel like a idiot waiting for the abilities to be ready on Gcd. So slow!
I think Arcane mage was hit pretty hard with it since they have to use 3 cooldowns for their burst phase. It's just a lot of down time, especially at the start of the fight when you used a potion before pull, but still have to go through 3 GCDs+a cast time to hit the boss once.

It's such a stupid change. If they don't want people to stack cooldowns then stop making stacking cooldowns the best damage. Simple.

I miss the 0.5s GCD reduction on Unholy Presence :( That used to be the !@#$.
Honestly I haven't had any class become unplayable with the change, mostly I don't really notice it. The only one I can really attest to is Arcane Mage, for some reason (maybe the slowing down of the instant burst?) makes Arcane Power feel a bit weird to me.

I don't really love it across all the classes, but then again I don't really love the whole gameplay of "macro all my dps cooldowns" either.

Some classes like Unholy DK get hit harder than others because iirc you potentially have Dark Transformation, Army of the Dead, Apocalypse, and Unholy Frenzy/Summon Gargoyle which are a lot of activations.

I don't either, but I feel like what it did in the process was take buff abilities on a timer and really reduce the effectiveness because of anything you use in its timespan on the GCD - which is almost everything.
Frost DK - just feels bad. Still pumps out DPS but is much less fun now.
Fire Mage - same, minus the DPS.

I main UH DK and it is impacted - there are times I *really* want my Apocalypse, DT, or Gargoyle to go off *right now* - but weirdly I am still having tons of fun with it. It's an unforgiving but extremely fun spec.
nooope.
but I dont rely on macros to play the game for me, so thats probably why.

Fury definitely felt a little bit more sluggish to me, but unless the did or do nerf the changes they made that made Fury a lot tougher, its well worth the changes overall.
I hated fury in legion. refused to bother even trying to make it work. Needed to have a freakin healer at arms length all the time.
Loved it with the BfA changes. Even with the GCD.
I kind of hate my DK now... It's like 5 seconds before my ramp-up starts to do much actual damage.
Almost all of my spells are on GCD except for maybe one, or two even create healthstone, and unending breath it's ridiculous. I haven't checked eye of Kilrogg but I'm betting that is as well. This is on affliction i haven't checked all of destro yet.
holy paladin
I haven't played much beyond Demo warlock this expansion, and I was Destro since MoP till now, so I can't say it has as not only am I essentially playing something completely new, but Demo is also leaps and bounds better than it was in Legion anyway.

Gave Destro a solid go in raid last night though. Something feels off about it, but I don't think it was the GCDs. It just feels the same yet completely different, y'know? Might be because of the loss of the artifact weapon, those traits were vital for Destro in Legion, or it could be the over reliance of the infernal cooldown. Can't quite put my finger on it.

But no, can't say GCD has ruined anything for me yet. I'm sure other classes will have suffered though
I used to main arms, but it just doesn't feel the same. Rip
The pruning shrunk down WoW’s sandbox considerably.

The GCD took the smaller box, drained the sand, and filled it with gravel.

I wouldn’t say any of the classes I play(ed) are dead to me due to GCD, but by god it removed whatever traces of polish and smooth rotations was left remaining after the relentless prunes.

EDIT: god forbid you get an On Use trinket...
It feels pretty slow. I dont like it at all.
That is why I tried FFXIV and just could not play it.
No. It doesn't really bother me, to be honest. I miss being able to just macro some CDs in, but by and large it's okay.
Class breaker ?? nah

An irritation ?? yup
