You're accusing them of plagiarism and you dont even bring up the Warlock set? I love both, but when I first saw the Warlock set I thought of Warhammer.

The Warlock tier 8 is based on Putress' armor... Which is based off of a plague doctor. You know, because he was the head of the Apothecaries. You know, the Forsaken that literally created the Plague? They're literally just plague doctors. How is that not painfully obvious?

Only one armor set model per tier, and they're not even designing their own armor. Straight ripped out of Skyrim, like no one would notice.

At what point is it a homage?

The only thing I can see that is similar is the structure of the armor... a type of armor that is very common in any MMOs.
Is the OP here actually serious?

Are you Reed Richards in real life? You have some amazing stretching abilities if not.
i mean...

The helmet is kinda similar on the first set...

Other than that basically nothing at all even close.
The Uldir set looks semi similar but I would not call them "identical" or "plagerized" by any means. The WoW Uldir set is based on Titan tech around the Titan facility and has a facemask similar to Titan statues WAY back in Wrath.

The bone plate may have some features that are slightly resembling of Skyrim armor, but guess what? Bone armor looks roughly similar regardless and has in many games, shows, and movies. Also the giant shoulder is far different so....
There are so many things you could complain about WoW and have some legitimacy behind it, but this just makes you look like an idiot and hurts your cause.

What cause?

I just saw some incredibly similar armors set one tier apart. I never said they were identical, but people claiming they're "nothing alike" are flat-out lying.

It's creatively half-baked and they can do better. Maybe all the armor art time is going into Heritage Armor.
Dwarven inspired armor has been out for forever...I don't think you can even say Elder scrolls was original as many aspects have be reused in many forms of media.
Both of the examples also have enough changes to where they aren't similar unless we're going purely off "ooo look at the helm shape and they both have some bones". Which is not really enough to cry stolen.

That said, WoW always takes inspiration from other games and media. It's nothing new. I thought it was pretty universal knowledge that it's the game made up of other games lul. You should also realize that protected content for games is not the same as protected content for other material. Plenty of other games take inspiration from others and are even open about said inspiration. For videogames, using elements of mechanics and deisgn is not enough to justify a copyright claim.

"THAT HELMET HAS A FACE

THAT ARMOR IS BONE

BLIZZARD COPIED SKYRIM REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

And it's not infringement, and making criminal accusations against developers as click-bait is tacky.
Oops, I used the wrong word to say "you straight-up copied another fantasy game's armor designs".

My god, I just realized they're ALL like actual armor in real life.
show me the armor IRL that looks like giant dragon bones.

Here's a preview of the next plate tier in 8.2.

Perhaps you should report it to the appropriate authorities and let them decide rather than just trying to defame blizzard.

You've had 4 pages of this tripe thus far, and like 1 person has agreed with you.

Please stop embarrassing yourself.

I agree with the uldir set, but my god, that dragonbone comparison is the biggest stretch I've ever seen.

but anyway, it's not iike skyrims dwemer set was all original designs either.
Since you don't know what plagiarism is here is the definition given by the Oxford dictionary.

Plagiarism is presenting someone else’s work or ideas as your own, with or without their consent, by incorporating it into your work without full acknowledgement. All published and unpublished material, whether in manuscript, printed or electronic form, is covered under this definition.

Also here is the one on the merriam webster dictionary for plagiarizing.

1) to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's own : use (another's production) without crediting the source
2)to commit literary theft : present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source

Here's also the definition of Plagiar according to the Real Academia de la Lengua Española.

1)Copiar en lo sustancial obras ajenas, dándolas como propias.
The other definitions given for the word Plagiar (plagiarize) do not apply to our modern world.

I hope this helps.

You mean the brass armor with a covered metal face and a metal plume and largely rounded, but geometric designs isn't at all like the Dwemer Armor?

Should probably go after the Romans as well, what with them stealing this design as well. Pesky Ancient Romans.

Or the armor made of huge craggy pieces of bone is nothing like the Dragonbone Armor? Hell, even the style of the horns on the helmet is the same.

From Software better get sued too. Stealing that design for Dragonslayer Armor.

Damn when will others learn not to steal from Elder Scrolls?! They did it first! They did it all first!

Should sue Tolkien as well....thieving bastard!

The hell are you talking about?

They aren't remotely the same.
Uh...

Or the armor made of huge craggy pieces of bone is nothing like the Dragonbone Armor? Hell, even the style of the horns on the helmet is the same.

I get Blizzard apologists, but this is just ridiculous. They give us one set per armor type per tier as compared to one per class per tier, and you're okay with this?
No,sounds like Bethesda fanboys/the anti WoW camp are grasping at straws for a gotcha moment, most of it look similar to army in history such as Greco-Roman armor and various other European soldiers of olde. Oh yeah one more thing.....

Better call the gub'mint, then, because those are both riffing off the Great Seal of the United States.
