Post your favorite crazy build!

Classic Discussion
Alright, I thought it was time I started a thread that wasn't about Classic bashing and complaining.

This thread is dedicated to the quirky, the unusual, the unorthodox, the misfits. If you have done a wonky build that even half worked how you expected, post it here! I'm a sucker for making crazy builds viable, and would love to hear the crazy ideas the community has come up with over the years.

This is strictly pertaining to vanilla mechanics and classes, mind you.
I had a mace spec rogue for a while in PvP. I thought the stun mechanic was going to be kinda cool and work well with my other stuns. But then it was made resistable in 1.7, and the novelty kinda wore off.

LOL - Smite Priest solo build

(?Lucky? for me, BC came out and made keeping all my points in the Holy tree not feel quite as funky. I actually went into my first raid in BC with all my points in Holy, though I swapped to Disc/Holy immediately after when I realized how fun it was.)
Oh forgot to post mine. This is something I had posted in an unrelated discussion:

I recently leveled to 1-60 using a purely survival melee hunter build, it was a blast actually lol. The play style is completely different from your usual leveling spec though.

I basically used any high DPS pet I could find, spec'd in deterrence, deflection for parry % and improved aspect of the monkey, and took taunt off my pet. I'd tank most fights, laying a trap and pulling with serpent sting then waiting as they got into melee range and switching to melee only. Pet would taunt off only if I needed, which wasn't often - avoidance was usually around ~23% lol. Wasn't necessarily optimal speed wise, but damage was through the roof, it was very mana efficient, and no one could ever gank me unless they were +10 levels higher.

Speccing out immolation trap was key, its a very overlooked skill and the damage/mana ratio is incredible.

Yes!! I’ve actually been curious about what it would be like to run a smite priest build. What would be the advantages/disadvantages of your build vs this one?

Mine is probably more of a PvE Group spec...

LOL, I was pretty tongue-in-cheek with mine. I'd agree the big difference is the PvE solo aspect - for which the Spirit Tap is important. Going deep in Disc could make the build a little more livable on a PvP realm too.
My favorite build in classic wow was
Arms warr
31 arms 21 fury.
Best build ever.
19/7/25, my truly hybrid shaman build.

This is perfectly fine for 40 man raiding, healing 5 mans, world pvp, premade pvp, and farming gold. Didn't do all of these the best, but did most just fine.
