Blizzard Internal Error with Updater?

Technical Support
Hey Everyone back again with the same issue.

A few days ive let this rest. But i decided to try and fix the issue without trying to reinstall. (seems like my last option though.)

Everytime i open my updater it "Downloading updated tools..." with a blue bar. Now about 1/8 of the way into it it stops for a while and then gives me the error, "Blizzard Updater failed with an internal error. Please contact Blizzard technical support" so thats what im doing.

I have the patch v4.0.3.13329

I have tried disabling my firewall.
Taking off a proxy server.
Safe mode.
Running in administrator.
Checked if my launcher was in the correct folder.
Deleted cache, interface, and wtf folders.
Msconfig.
Opening WoW manually and going through that patch. (Which takes me no where)
Maybe a few i have forgotten.

IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS, PLEASE REPLY
Serip,

Which firewall did you disable? Some may require actual uninstalling if they're not set up right to begin with. AV programs can also be involved in this symptom so disabling that may also help.

I have McAfee but i have went to their website deleted it, then fully uninstall-ed the entire program.
Serip ,

Was McAfee your firewall as well as AV program or are you using anything else?

Can you delete the launcher.log file in your World of Warcraft\Logs folder, then try the launcher again, and if it fails, post the new launcher.log file that was created?

Serip,

What folder do you have the game installed in?

"Blizzard Updater is unable to write to this location because it is a system directory."

Try running the launcher as an admin if you use Vista or Win 7)

Right click the desktop shortcut to select that option.

Running as admin did not work, only looked like it sped up the process.

This is the file it is in.

C:\Windows\World of Warcraft

Should i move the folder?
Serip ,

Try putting it into this folder structure instead.

C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft

Make a new desktop shortcut to the launcher from that folder.

You can do this with a simple "move" operation taking a second or two.

Make the target folder first (C:\Users\Public\Games, then have two Windows Explorer windows open, one for each folder, then just right click and drag the World of Warcraft folder to the new location, let go, and select "move".
