The Gob Squad

Story Forum
Hey Guys,

I'm really interested in finding out more about the members of the Goblin Squadron first introduced in the Azshara Quest Line (Cataclysm) called "Extermination". All I seem to be able to get are the names of the members and each one of them have a highly specialized ability: e.g. sniper, ballistics, explosives...ect.

I have so many questions about them:
- Who is their leader?
- What is their affiliation? (Are the like the MI6 Alliance Elite squad of Stormwind? Are they Bilgewater Cartel? etc...)
- What are the member names and their specialties?
- How did they come to be formed?
- Where were they from? (Kazan maybe?)
- Will we see more of them in the future?
- What are the personalities and traits of each Squad member?

While I know some of these questions can't be answered now, if anyone has ANY information on them it would be great to start a thread on the Gob Squad so we can start tracking their history.
they show up and play a decent sized role in twwilight highlands, other then that all I know is they are members of the Bilgewater Cartel Goblins, and are in the Bilgewater Batalion
The Gob Squad is part of the Elite section of the Goblin army GAMA (Goblin Army Mergers and Acquisitions).

Nothing is known about their past, we will likely see more of the future.

Patch is the Leader near as I can tell. He seems to be one of the few "levelheaded" goblins, like Captain Krazz.

Volt seems to be the sniper

Ticker the explosives specialist

No idea what Newt does, aside from be the token female.

Grit seems to handle the Flamethrower

That one Goblin, Patch I think it is.

I like to think of them as the Horde version of the Gnomeregan Special Ops.

- How did they come to be formed?
May be answered in a short story, maybe after the leader short stories are said and done.

Well... considering they are Bilgewater Goblins, presumably so.

- Will we see more of them in the future?
The cow above me has an answer.

I doubt this'll be answered. *shrug*
You guys are awesome! Thanks for the current info. I hope to uncover more of this group as I hope they play a bigger role in Goblin development in Cataclysm. Goblins do need more elite heroes. If anyone finds more information please keep this post going. I will cross-reference this info with what is out there on the WoW Wiki and other sources.

Np I loved them when I first saw them, they are quite awesome and the closest thing we have to a Goblin Hero right now.

Also use wowpedia.org now, wowwiki is pretty much dead
They MIGHT be a reference to the characters in Team Fortress 2, but it might just be me.
Grit being the Pyro.
Volt being the Sniper.
Patch being the Soldier.
Ticker being the Demoman.
And Newt being, maybe the Scout, because her model is smaller.
Also, Grit has an eye patch with a smiley-face design that strongly resembles the smiley-face you see when the Demoman lifts up his crotch-protector-flap thing in one of his taunts.
Again, that's just my guess.

KA-BOOOOM. The beginning of every match ever.
They get their own scenario in MoP
Necro-wreckro
Grit is alive in MoP, so apparently you failed.

Necro-wreckro

In Blizzard's forum rules, it's only a necro if it's a blatant "bump" with no new info. In this case he posted new info, that probably wasn't worth it's own thread.

I look forward to seeing them again. I assume in the Spires of Arak, as there appears to be goblin towns there?

THERE ARE?!
I am a happy Goblin.
According to WoWpedia:

Patch is indeed the leader, and tends to be the engineer
Grit is the "nutrition supplies" (read cook)
Ticker is the demo expert
Newt is the "token female" but also seems to be the one that has what they use to GET OUT after missions (I.E. get away car driver)
Volt is the trapper, so some calling him the sniper might not be too far off
