DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT FACTUAL, these are just tests run with Simulations using the latest Mew. Others may confirm/deny its correctness as they themselves test this information, but here is what I have found. I am in no way saying this is what you have to do, but you can look at the results and see for yourself.

    • Alaron posted on my Fluid Druid thread some of his tests he had run with Mew and his Fight Scripts, using a Atramedes sytle fight, where there are Ground and Air Phases. He did 6 different fights: 30G30A, 30G15A, 30G5A, 15G30A, 15G15A, 15G5A (G and A being Ground and Aie respectively). I found that I wasn't completely satisfied with the profiles he ran, since all were chalked full of Mastery, so I grabbed the scripts and ran the numbers myself. Whenever there are mass upgrades on the horizon, such as a new tier, I make a spreadsheet and look at the stat changes and create a list of which will be my most potent upgrade. As Feral, our most potent will obviously be the weapon, but I like having a guide, especially for the loot that can be bought with currency, such as Valor Off-pieces and Tier Gear.

I compiled a list of gear via the Datamined loot from both WoWHead and MMO-Champion to compile a list of gear from Firelands, Valor, Avengers of Hyjal, etc.

    The gear chosen:
Vision of the Flaming Skull - Lord Rhyolith (http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=71003)
Flamesign Necklace - Valor Points (http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=71129)
Obsidian Arborweave Spaulders - Tier Gear (http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=71101)
Sleek Flamewrath Cloak - Avengers of Hyjal | Friendly (http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=71228)
Obsidian Arborweave Raiment - Tier Gear (http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=71100)
Flamebinder Bracers - Valor Points (http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=71130)
Obsidian Arborweave Grips - Tier Gear (http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=71097)
Flamebinding Girdle - Avengers of Hyjal | Honored (http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=71131)
Obsidian Arborweave Legguards - Tier Gear (http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=71099)
Sandals of the Flaming Scorpion - Majordomo Staghelm (http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=71313)
Splintered Brimstone Seal - Valor Points (http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=71209)
      Widow's Kiss - Beth'tilac (http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=71032)
The Hungerer - Majordomo Staghelm (http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=68927)
Ancient Petrified Seed - Avengers of Hyjal | Revered (http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=69001)
Hardheart Relic - Valor Points (http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=71146)
      Fandral's Flaming Spire - Majordomo Staghelm (http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=69897)

    Enchants chosen:
      Head: 60 Agility / 35 Haste
      Shoulder: 50 Agility / 25 Mastery
      Cloak: 22 Agility
      Chest: 20 Stats
      Wrist: 50 Agility
      Hands: 65 Mastery
      Legs: 190 Attack Power / 55 Crit
      Feet: 35 Agility
      Weapon: 130 Agility.

    Professions chosen:
      Blacksmithing (2 Sockets: 80 Agility)
      Jewelcrafting (3 Gems: 81 Agility)

First, the Trinkets, Buffs/Debuffs, Talents/Glyphs, and Parameters were the same for all 13 profiles:

Second, I made a quick table to show the amount of stats in each profile, to show where the balance is allocated. The 378 Reforge None profile was the basic set-up of gear, no Reforges done. This turned out to be a fairly balanced set-up across the board.

    Lastly, I ran each of the 13 profiles through each of the 7 strategies: (In Order: Patchwerk, 30G30A, 30G15A, 30G5A, 15G30A, 15G15A, 15G5A )

    Tests not listed (Sorted High > Low DPS): (Haste - Mastery Crit),(Mastery - Haste - Crit),(Hit Exp - Haste),(Crit - Haste - Mastery),(Mastery - Crit - Haste),(Crit - Mastery - Haste),(Mastery - Hit),(Crit - Hit - Mastery),(Hit Exp - Crit)
Unheeded Warning The Hungerer Matrix Restabilizer Ancient Petrified Seed
Unheeded Warning The Hungerer Matrix Restabilizer Ancient Petrified Seed

Also, for those interested, the DPS increases off of the following Glove Enchants is very similar, but +65 Mastery holds top:

    20 Agility ,65 Mastery, 50 Haste
These next three tests are based on the prospect of using T11.5 2 PC and T12 2PC at the same time.
    Stormrider's Headpiece Stormrider's Grips
    Haste > Crit > Mastery: 28524.16 DPS
      Agility 5424
      Haste 1576
      Mastery 1483
      Crit 1964
      Hit 632
      Exp 226

    Haste > Hit/Exp: 28366.37 DPS
      Agility 5424
      Haste 1637
      Mastery 1240
      Crit 1426
      Hit 979
      Exp 493

    Hit/Exp > Mastery: 28398.48 DPS
      Agility 5414
      Haste 530
      Mastery 2306
      Crit 1220
      Hit 976
      Exp 758

If you compare these results with those from above you will see this is about a 200 DPS loss from using Full 378 gear with the T12 4Pc. Until you get Full 378, though, try and keep the 2 PC around for a bit.
    Oh my...Good work mang.

Good to see capping hit/exp only loses 30 dps. Did you do tests for trinkets with those different reforges?
Matrix is kind of a sketchy trinket. What would happen if Hungerer procs, then Matrix procs while Hungerer is active? Would you lose dps if Matrix procs for haste instead of another stat?
when it says increase weapon by X.. it doesn't say DPS so the +amount is on the weapons range, then factored by speed to derive the dps?

hypothetically, a lower range weapon with speed closer to 1.00 will gain more from the unheeded warning

    2100avg at speed 3.00 =
    700 cat 1.00

    1050 avg at speed 1.5 =
    700 cat 1.00

    add straight 600 to weapon
    2100avg you get 2700 / 3 = 900 cat
    1650avg / 1.5 = 1100 cat

So is haste our official "best stat" next patch?

Currently I'm going Mastery > Crit > Haste

So will it be Haste > Crit > Mastery for most gear levels in 4.2?
