Iboloa...I don't know if you're trying to be funny or serious. All I did was get back my money that I spent on this weapon in the first place. How am I the bad guy here...Oh I see, you're a troll!

That doesn't say anything about the weapon.
After speaking with 2 GM's, both have confirmed the tooltip will be updated to match the actual stats of the weapon (3.5 speed), and they cannot and will not refund the materials used. So everyone who made the weapon based on the IN-GAME TOOLTIP must live with their mistake.
The update will happen some time within the next 2 weeks so more people can waste their time and money.

In short, a failure yet again not only in Blizzard's QA department, but a failure in their ability to rectify a legitimate situation.

Lovely.

So again I ask what was the point of putting a completely useless weapon into the game, it's also nice to know that it may well be two or more weeks before this is fixed and Blizzard has yet to make a statement on it to let the community know.

So Blizzard is in affect scamming the WoW player base, go Blizz.
Bump.
Waiting on a reply.
Crafted mine yesterday morning, looks like I wasted all that money making it and could have unlocked a different Molten Front vendor first instead of the pattern one...

"Bump for acknowledgement.

I specifically set out on the rep grind for this item and you've changed it right when it becomes available or knowingly never mentioned the change. What a disrespectful way to treat your customers."

If the speed was reduced to 3.5 from 3.8 doesn't that mean it was buffed. Don't you want to swing faster?

I'm confused.

Doesn't work like that for any abilities based on weapon damage. Slower speed means more top end and low end damage thresholds and therefore higher hits with Crusader Strike, Templars Verdict, ect.
So just spoke to a gm to get Akirus the Worm-Breaker back. While they figure this out. They gave Akirus back no problem. When I asked about tooltip. First response was "hold onto the deathblade though, it may just be an error. I don't have any information on that" Well after I thanked him for getting the akirus back they responded. "ah, here's the report. Yeah, definitely hold onto the deathblade for now :)" So unsure if blizz has had a change of heart due to complaints. Maybe they will fix it for the better than the current situation.

That thread is about the weapon, and the GM's response is regarding what can be done about people who make the weapon.
I'd really like to know wat stats this wep is gonna have after the fix, I have a ticket open and it says average wait time is over 2 days. I need a new wep and I want this one if it's 3.8 speed otherwise i'll farm for something better. I just dont know wat it is and i dont wanna farm for another if im just gonna replace it. Would really love to know wat this wep will become.
so my 2 day wait ticket got answered while I was offline, lol 2 days happened to be less than 2 hours. this is wat the gm said:

"The Masterwork Elementium Deathblade in a recent hotfix to the stats you're seeing now. The wowhead version is simply not updated to this changesince they use datamining to pull it. Once they update their database it should reflect the same."

link to screenshot (I suck at this :P):

So the wep should indeed be a 3.8 speed as displayed in game. thank you to the GM that answered to this quickly :)
I don't have this weapon nor will I likely ever but this is wrong. Please fix to 3.8 speed as all these people have paid for.

Wait, does this mean it's fixed?

Nope, GM didn't know what they were talking about. Just logged in and double checked.
Akirus is showing 3.50 on doll, MED is showing 3.37 (Numbers are with haste).
MED is still 3.5 speed with lower damage range.

I have left the weapon equipped so that ppl can see the speed and damage in my armory stats.
