Yes, Dazeez.
hi kalganized,
i was planning to build a PC but due to the financial prob. so i decided to buy a laptop, price range 400-550 euros. i took your guide but i found other graphic card like GT 520m, GT 540m, Radeon HD 6720G2, Radeon HD 7470 and Radeon HD 6320M. what are these GPU rank if we compare them with GT 630M or HD 7670M? are they worthy?

such as:

http://www.4launch.nl/shop/#p-4-productid-116693
the price difference of those two is 80 euro but most of the main parts are the same. the big difference is in CPU one is i3 and the other is i5. is that really cost 80 euro?

or this http://www.cdromland.nl/productinfo/253160/

almost forgot one question.
I have monitor LCD 1080p 22", are those GPU recommended to use monitor with resolution 1080p without using the monitor from laptop(only use the 22" monitor)?
(way behind) HD 6320M < (bit behind) HD 7470M < GT 630M = GT 540M = HD 6720G2 < (slightly ahead) HD 7670M

No, these laptop graphics cards will struggle if you run it on a 1080p monitor.

Yes, there will be some difference between i3 and i5 in CPU bound gaming.
i bought the dvi wire connected it but yet it still wont read it the computer screen wont turn on unless i plug in the blue cable as well i took out the gaphics card and put it back in to make sure it was right pretty sure it is and its still going of intell graphics
did you connect both PCI-E 6-pin plugs to the graphics card firmly, and is the card firmly seated?
yes the cards in there firmly and i pluged the dvi cable from my monitor to the graphics card top slot that says vga is this the right port and its in there pretty good i have to case opend the graphics cards fans are on as well
Hey Kalganized, I got my new rig up and running, but sans a SSD as I wasnt too sure on which one to buy still but I noticed this today on New Egg

124 + a mail in rebate for this, worth it?
No, the DVI cable goes to DVI port, which is wide white port, not VGA, on the graphics card. Also, they only go in one way too.

I mentioned two PCI-E 6-pin power plugs from the power supply; did you plug these in?

Paladinchaz: I would avoid Vertex 3

Even for that price? Sadface =/
Well, the Crucial m4 could be had for a similar price (although no mail-in rebate):

GT 610M is the bottom of the barrel
At university, not much work left as I'm already set to graduate
