The color of orc blood

Story Forum
Does anyone know what color a green orc's blood is? Is it green or red? Does the green taint only affect the skin?
It's black.
It's a very dark red that appears black at times, hence why Daelin Proudmoore once called them "Blackbloods". The green skin is a result of the fel corruption that has befallen most of their race, orcs are actually naturally brown (as seen in mag'har orcs such as Garrosh) and presumably they have a lot of melanin or a similar pigment.
It's actually dark red. But they were called 'black bloods' because the dark red could be mistaken for black.

Dammit, beaten to the punch.

Red blood much darker than that of a Human or Dwarf. Can be mistaken for black blood (Like said).
Thank you for your thorough and swift responses. I knew why the green ones were green but didn't know if it also was reflected in the blood color.

Are all orcs naturally brown, or are/were there a variety of skin tones? Can the fel tint go away in future generations? Would the orcs want it to or does it represent something important to them?

Yes, they're all naturally brown, though it's likely there were a variety of shades. The fel taint may go away in future generations; it's hard to say. Whether they'd want it to is also hard to say, though we've seen no indication that they'd want it to or that it represents anything other than the mistakes of their past.
The skin of orcs and eye color of blood elves have been explicitly compared and it has been established that the blood elves' fel eye color will take a long, long time to wear off, so it's likely the same goes for orc skin.

Q: Why do blood elves still have green eyes?
A: Corruption from fel energies takes a long time to wear off. It's why most orcs are still green even though Mannoroth is dead.

Cowabunga, you got some fast answers. :)
What about the Blackrock and Dragonmaw orcs? Were they always grey, or is that volcanic dust settled on their skin?

It could be the variations of exposure to fel magic or the volcanic skin in Blackrock mountain.
