Hunter Glyphs.

Hunter
So i had a question about Hunters and the Glyphs we get to chose from.

I do not recall where i saw this but i saw somewhere that the Glyph choices in 5.0.4 were for utility yet some classes such as warrior have a few of their Glyphs increase damage of their ability's in one way or another.

Glyph of Death From Above for example, (Reduces the cooldown on Heroic Leap by 15 sec and increases its damage by 100%.) what is up with that?

So i would like to know everyone's opinions on that.

Thanks for reading.

Honestly, I think hunters got the shaft on glyphs.
In terms of Damage increase, yes we got basically the short end of the stick, proabably even shortest.

Some "decent" defensive ones, but nothing too great really.

But yeah they could at least throw us 1 damage increase glyph IMO
Tbh i think that is part of the reason why hunters are slacking in dps atm.
To be honest, I wasn't even using glyphs until I decided what I would be using for "levelling."
I don't believe I have any glyphs on my Hunter since the change to em. I couldn't decide the worst of several lacking evils. I wish Blizz would make up their mind on glyphs and stop changing them so often, my Scribe is getting tired of losing Glyphs and having to re-learn some.

God isn't that the truth...you can look at your options for an hour and have trouble picking cause of how horrid our options are right now.
For PvE Glyph of Marked for Death is a damage increase,

Glyph of Animal Bond gives you extra healing

Glyph of Chimera Shot gives you extra healing

Glyph of Deterrence makes you take less damage from !@#$ on the ground

Glyph of Pathfinding makes you go places faster

Glyph of Disengage makes you get out of %^-* faster

There, I just gave you 6 viable glyphs to pick from, go nuts.

Apply mark before the fight and once during fight, 3 DPS loss.

Extra healing, granted

2% more on a 9 second CD in a garbage spec... Yay?

Meh, Granted

While in Cheeta and mounted.... No.

Not really, only launches you farther.

But I am shocked that no one mentioned the extra 20 rage glyph warriors have... I would like 20 extra focus as SV. Fact is that we got shafted in the glyph department and we didn't even get cool cosmetics ones. How about a pet armor Glyph? A laser sight? Maybe make disengage a feral reverse leap in escape?

Idk, I'd just like to be a recognized citizen instead of a second class one.

Marked for Death is a net DPS increase on any fight that lasts more than 5 minutes or has any target switching.

Valid point, I forgot to consider target switch fights, gotta love mornings. But that gives us 1 glyph that is a DPS increase on Single Target fights and Target switching fights, where as glyphs such as the warriors Glyph of Endless Rage glyph benefits ALLsituations that could ever arise. AoE, Single Target, Adds, Switches, etc.

If that's a significant increase for warriors, then you can expect Blizzard to balance overall warrior DPS assuming they have that glyph.

Hunter glyphs are fine; they're actually working exactly as Blizzard intended: straight-up damage buffs are either baked into class/spec passives, or have been removed, and our baseline damage rebalanced accordingly.
