Need Mage Help Please, Looking for Advice

Mage
Turned 90, Bought the 450 PvP Gear, and have done a few heroics.

My Dps is maintaining at about 25,000

I've been out dps'd by tanks, and every dps that's been in my group.

I'm not sure what i'm doing wrong, and i'm doing my best to fix it. I've come to the forums for advice if anyone has any tips they'd like to share.

I'm doing my best to be hit capped, as i've reforged all gear to get me the most Hit.

I'm not sure if its my glyphs, rotation, or what?

If anyone would be willing to armory me, or give me an optimal rotation/glyph suggestion i'm all ears.

Would greatly appreciate any feedback.

Thanks Community.

Herein lies your problem.
You use the pvp gear to get into the heroic and then put on your pve gear after you have "tricked the system" with a higher gear score of your pvp.

Don't do a heroic with pvp gear. Thats just silly.

Not all the guides are perfect, but they are enough of a primer to start practicing the proper priorities.

There is nothing wrong with using pvp gear as long as it is the highest ilvl piece you have that slot. A pvp piece with a 450 ilvl and a pve piece with the same ilvl will have the same amount of primary stats and a very minuscule difference in secondary stats.

Look at the item comparison here:

The pvp piece actually has more stats (not counting pvp stats) than the pve one.

I wanted to second this. Icy Veins is a great source and they update quite often.
it is because mages suck at pve now..i get out dps'd by everyone, even the tank too
