Should we be whitecapping hit for PVP?

Rogue
I've heard that a lot of our damage as rogues is supposed to come from white damage in this expansion, so I've been trying to work toward whitecapping hit, maximizing haste, and leaving mastery alone.

Is this a viable tactic moving forward or should I put my eggs in another basket?
Dont go for the white hit cap, go for something else.

I have to ask why though. If I'm missing 16% of my normal attacks, and most of the damage is supposed to come from normal attacks, wouldn't it make sense to pile on a little bit more hit?

Because that's the way Dual Weilding works. The second you slap on an offhand, you gain a ton if miss.

The stats are more effectively spent on Mastery or Haste. Makes those strikes that do land do a lot more damage at a rate that stacking Hit couldn't compete with.

I certainly would never trade haste or mastery for hit, but what about expertise over the cap or crit?

But you could be trading those for haste or mastery as well, so you would still be losing out.

Not always. If the item already has haste or mastery, I can't pile on more.

So you get the other...

Reforging is a wonderful tool. There are many sites out there that will help you. Ask Mr. Robot, Shadowcraft (not working atm, but it will), WoWReforge, and others.

The Expertise question is up in the air right now. Half the theorycrafters say yes, half say no. I personally find capping to be a dps increase, but that's me.

I know personally being at 0% chance to parry and dodge against level 90 targets im still getting parried and dodged. It doesnt matter what attack it is, white or yellow, it still gets parried/dodged.
