PvP Destro.... Mastery or Crit reforge?

Warlock
^Title^
I'm going to use crit... mastery only affects chaos bolt and ember tap, crit affects everything except ember tap.

But I haven't looked at what the theroycrafters have been saying either. So i could be wrong.
They are both pretty close damage wise, but what puts crit far ahead is that is effects your ember regen and mastery doesn't. 1 non crit Incinerate generates 1/10 of an ember, a crit generates 2/10.

Go crit for pvp
Crit reforge 100%
Crits = 2/10th of an ember per incinerate, more immolate crit ticks (faster ember regeneration), higher chaos bolts, higher conflags, etc
crit
@tripsoul mastery affects all damage as destro not just ember effects
destro is crit > mastery > haste

Also mastery does not affect chaos bolt. (last time I checked)
TBH i would say WITHOUT Pet SAC:

Crit > Mastery > haste

With Pet Sac bonus:

Mastery > crit > haste since almost all single target dmg is increased just by sacing so adding more damage on to that is pretty nice.

But, either way im sure most ppl would try and find a way to balance the 2.
Mastery increases all ember effects and normal damage look at your specialisation
hmmm... mastery because you will not get enough crit to make a diffence. So increase overall dmg is stronger that is what i have find out so far aswell bigger chaos bolts.

Mouse over mastery, its fel flame, incinerate, and conflag in addition to burning ember abilities.

For PVP its mastery 100% of the way. The mastery+grimore of sacrifice adds more damage. Mastery adds more burst with chaosbolt and survival with burning embers.
I prefer Mastery, from what I have seen it affects Chaos Bolt way more than crit does. Everything else is just a filler, but when my chaos bolt hits its crazy.
I did some testing and I was getting higher CB crits from 600 mastery vs 900+ crit (was testing using the Ghost Iron Engineering trinket vs the Pocket Watch). Ember generations don't seem to be a huge problem imo. For arena, you don't have that many opportunities to chain Chaos Bolts and for BGs you're constantly getting shards by Shadowburning for KBs.

Mastery also affects Ember Tap too and Fel Flame/Incinerate/Conflag so I've been going with Mastery.
I thought this guide was quite informative.

I thought mastery at first as well but thats only good for burst with choas bolt, for more damage overall haste=crit>mastery because you'll want more embers rather than slightly increasing their power.
I still prefer haste for pvp because I like to get more casts off, but you need a mix of haste and crit for the best results.

edit; HOWEVER, destro's stats are so close right now it hardly matters at all, A mastery reforge will not nerf your damage too greatly, and like I said, bigger choas bolts, but destro isn't just choas bolts.
i think supremacy is better for pvp then sacrifice just my opinion though
6% hit - Crit - Mastery - Haste

Crit effects your Fire and Brimstone immolate. The crit ticks off those dots generate embers. Crit also effects the amount of damage done by all of your spells.

Also, in arenas Sacrifice is awful. If you are stuck in a deep freeze, no trinket, cleanse, or unbound will, who will interrupt that mage? You're spelllock from your pet is no longer available. BUT.. if you go for supremacy or service your pet is (HOPEFULLY) still alive and you can have it spell lock that mage that is going to hurt you badly.
If you're having trouble generating embers, you're doing something wrong, completely.

Basically, Mastery affects all your ember consuming spells, (obviously not spells like Flames of Xoroth) such as Ember Tap, Chaos Bolt, Shadowburn. It also increases the raw damage of Conflagrate, Incinerate and Immolate.

Crit increases the chance to do 200% spell damage, and get 2/10ths of an ember. It also directly increases the damage of Chaos Bolt (more than Mastery does, unlike at level 85, where Mastery > Crit > Haste).

Haste reduces the cast time of the spell by 1:1 % (I.e 3s raw cast time Chaos Bolt, add in haste of 10% > 2.7 second cast time).

The stat weights that I'll be using are:

6% Hit > Crit ≥ Mastery > Haste (10%).

6% Hit (greater than) Crit (greater than or equal to) Mastery (greater than) Haste [10%].

Nobody will interrupt that Mage, as they have already solo'd your whole team :D.

Arena spec I will run:

Dark Regeneration > Shadowfury/Mortal Coil (undecided, can't let go of Shadowfury, but Havoc 3 second Horror effect is pure bliss) > Sacrificial Pact/Dark Bargain (still undecided, may change during set up depending on who I am versing) > Grimoire of Supremacy (Observer = Shoop Da Whoop) > Mannoroth's Fury (a.k.a 'The No-Stealth Zone').
Mastery affects Incinerate fel-flame and all ember consuming spells (shadowburn ember-tap chaos bolt) and i'm PRAYING it helps fire and brimstone
