Healing in dungeons question?

Dungeons, Raids and Scenarios
Okay, I've never played as a healer in a dungeon & I really want to try it, but I honestly have no clue what to do lol. What class would be best for me (for my first time) & just tips you can give me for my first healer? I'm sorry if I sound like a newb, I just don't want to mess up on my first time. >.<
Thanks in advance. :)
A paladin would be a good choice because it's very easy to learn and play. =D
Would help some if you specified which healer you are going to be playing.

At low levels though, you won't have a bunch of spells to choose from, so it is kinda hard to mess up too bad.

Keep people above zero HP, you don't have to keep them at 100% all the time.

Try to hit each pull with 100% mana, especially bosses.

Edit - Totally misread the post, thought you were asking for tips for healing the first time. Meh
If your healing from 15 then a disc preist is a ball of fun, if you have never healed I would not jumping into level 90 instances as any class.

A good raid frame is useful at any level, I prefer vuh'do

This also applies if you plan to heal in PvP.

1. Pick a class.
2. Read your tool tips. Ask yourself the following question about your abilities:
  • Is this a healing spell
  • Is this a Heal over Time (HoT) or a direct heal?
  • Is this a quick, small HP heal, or a long, big HP heal
  • Is this an "oh crap" button
  • 3. Heal, after thinking about why you'd use each spell. HoTs to even out health, quick heals to soak up small health bumps, big heals for big health bumps, and "oh crap" buttons wehn damage is really coming in

That's about it. There's other things like utility spells, buffs, shields, etc, but that gets you in the door. Pick a class that sounds fun to you.
    Thanks everyone. ^.^
