A Useful Macro for Pet Battles!

Wyrmrest Accord
Use: Identify the rarity of wild pets at the start of a fight with one click! No catching needed!

Now, I found this online after google searching for something like it for convenience, and for simplicity's sake decided to share it. If you love catching/finding rare quality wild pets, but hate having to catch loads of them to find out the quality (especially those FRACKING TRANQUILITY SPAMMING GAZELLE JERKS) then this macro is for you!

Step one: Make a macro and paste this script into it:

/run for i=1,C_PetBattles.GetNumPets(2) do
SELECTED_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage(C_PetBattles.GetName(2,i).." -
".._G["BATTLE_PET_BREED_QUALITY"..C_PetBattles.GetBreedQuality(2,i)]) end

Step two: Bind this macro to a hotkey besides 1-6 (I personally like binding it to the numpad-enter key)

Step three: At the start of a wild battle, press the hotkey you keybind it to. The pet rarity for each wild pet you are battling should pop up in the chat panel! (Note: you should may need certain chats enabled for it to show). Sit back and enjoy not having to cage 50 million pets to find a rare one!

Feel free to add more macros to this thread, I'll be adding a picture guide when I get home from work ^^.

Oooo nice, the minipet icon quality on mouseover is a nice touch!

Here is one addon for making one click pet team switches, in tab on Pet Journal form!

Thanks for the macro and addon recommendations :) Really should be built into the system..
Here's one several people may have heard of, I don't use it personally at the minute because I like the retro Warcraft music but...

It lets you insert any music of your choice that you have available into the pet battles, instead of the default music. Just make sure to read the instructions and backup your music lua files like advised, especially if you don't usually mess around with this stuff!

One of my friends already has FF7 music playing for them >.>
This thread is great, thanks for the tips.
Bumping this once ^^
