Is WoW PvP worth returning to?

New Player Help and Guides
I used to be a devoted PvP player back in WotLK, and was pretty good too, highest MMR being around 2400.

Now I'm thinking about returning to returning to WoW just for PvP, and I wonder how worth it would be to spend nearly $100 and $15 a month?
I probably won't be going back to serious arena scene, but just casually playing BGs.

So, do you guys think it's worth returning to?
Also, I've heard that rated BGs were introduced in Cataclysm, is it all premade, or can I solo-queue to rated BGs?

Thanks in advance!

What would you need to spend $100 on? The whole thing Battlechest + Cata + MoP is about $60 right now. Since you have an old WotLK account, you can just resume your subscription on that one and get Cata and MoP if you want.

As for whether it's worth it, only you can decide that. Many players who left in the past have returned and are loving the new systems, but others are leaving because they don't like the changes.

Most of your questions are really too subjective for me to answer - especially since I'm a very casual PvPer.

However - you can not solo queue for a rated BG. You have to be in a group.
