Why is WoW considered nerdy, yet Xbox isnt?

Games, Gaming and Hardware
Paying subscription fee = nerdy
flat fee and then free = is cool

xbox live is a monthly fee

on average, your console gamer pays more each year for gaming

-$59 per new game(I imagine your average gamer would pick up at least 5-10 games a year)
-roughly $12 a month for live

Exactly, whereas WoW doesnt come out with an xpac for 2 years or so.
were all nerds.
Because WoW requires you to be extremely devoted and play a lot just to get ahead in the game, whereas XBOX you can play for 15 minutes to 1 hour and still get just as much enjoyment out of it.

So in other words, those who play WoW have a lot of time on their hands and appear nerdy or social-less.

Sorry no freaking way in hell. Xbox has just as many if not more finatics who devote just as much time to play well in pvp.
Gaming is nerdy.

Some gamers think they're better than others.

They're not.

But hey, if it gets them through the day...
It is because in order to get anywhere in World of warcraft it takes hours upon hours :) And my definition of "anywhere" may be different to others but to me it means being good at the game-understanding game mechanics keybinding positioning etc. In Call Of Duty my cousin who is 7 years old can log in and own everyone after 30 minutes :)
Gamers are not always nerds.

Nerds are almost always gamers.

Whatever gets you through the day...
Because WoW is an rpg, and rpgs have associated to nerds since the times of pen and paper...
Besides "cool" guys play mostly action/sports games...

Knowing Caitie, I don't think she was counting herself among the non-nerds.

I'm kind of surprised he thinks I'd call myself a non-nerd.

I guess it's not the first thing to go over his head though.

Do you enjoy your arms still being attached to your body?
It's easier to roll your face on a controller than it is a keyboard. You don't even have to roll at all for a controller... unless a witch doctor got ahold of you first.

Size is relative.
When relativity is at stake.
