Expertise

Paladin
So Prot Paladins need 15% expertise from what I am seeing, and all the sites I am reading that it is achievable pretty easily...So what is the best way to get to it? Gem for it? Reforge?

Any tips or gearing advice to get it would be helpful.
Gemming can help, but using Lessons of the Darkmaster can also help.

Then again you have... a lot of Stamina. I would try another trinket in the place of one of them unless you really need it. Once you get better gear it's also easy to reforge into sometimes. But you do need some assistance with gems.
Easy way to get more would be to replace Relic of Niuzao with a Ghost Iron Dragonling with expertise/haste/mastery cogwheels. Lots of good stats there, much much better than Niuzao.

And yes, use expertise gems in every socket (red expertise, yellow expertise/haste, blue expertise/stamina) until 15%.

Yeah gonna disagree here, Relic is a solid trinket and no one should be going backwards to the Dragonling. It's amazing starting out but something you have to work yourself off of eventually.

It's easy to hit the expertise cap with aggressive gemming and reforging, better to do that then rely on that trinket as a crutch.

Unless he's using that specific setup for Lei Shi, two stamina trinkets is way overkill, and Niuzao's use effect is pretty bad. He'll benefit more from the secondary stats that the GID provides.

Even if he can get to the expertise cap through gemming/reforging, a GID with haste/mastery/parry cogwheels would still be better than Niuzao. In my opinion, anyway. *shrug*

Our opinions just differ is all.

From a technical standpoint you're probably right, I just don't like the idea of advising people to rely on old items for their caps.

Better to get a nice newer non stam trinket altogether and go ahead and wean yourself off having an old trinket holding an essential cap like expertise.
