For new player solo questing?

New Player Help and Guides
Please give your reasons as to what class/spec you would advise a new player to level without heirlooms wanting to solo quest his/her way to 90? This would include being able to handle most group quests that come along as well.

TY
Every class and spec is fine for solo quests from 1-90. I've played them all. There are very few group quests while leveling, so that really shouldn't be an important factor in deciding what to play. You should play what you actually enjoy.
What monmonn says is true. You should choose whatever race/class interests you the most, since most people's first characters becomes their main.
While no class or spec is particularly hard to level some players find the mechanics of one class easier for them than the mechanics of another class.

Beastmaster Hunter is a forgiving class to play while leveling and you can typically handle difficult quests and elite mobs just by keeping your pet alive while you pew-pew.
That being said, there's a lot of buttons for a Hunter to handle at level cap. Blizz has acknowledged the issue but made no promises to resolve it yet.

This. Just pick what you think will be most enjoyable for you. And lately, ive been noticing that most toons don't have too much trouble soloing the few group quest while leveling, so dont let that deter you.
If you post your answers to the "Can't Find the Right Class" sticky, people can make suggestions based on what you prefer and what you want to do:

Most group quests before endgame no longer require finding a group, because either the quest mob has been nerfed, or the quest includes a way to solo the mob.
