Unusually high home/world latency right now

Think Optimum is just giving some troubles right now.

no, the rest of my net is fine it only seems to be WoW
Same problem. Turned on my VPN and the latency was fixed.
Running Time Warner and getting high world latency 300-1k+ with regular home (100-111) latency.

I have talked to optimum's highest level of technical support, its not their end. Anything after their domain is out of their realm of influence.

Spoke with Optimum Tech... They claim there is no issue on their end. They claim it is on Blizzards end, which it may well be. Either way, I guess we have to wait til this is sorted out.

yea i started maining a guardian druid so im pvping on alliance with phaeroh, and i feel ya on the lag i wont be able to raid at this rate >.<
vpn seems to be the only thing helping right now, but i'm reluctant to pay extra for vpn data if blizzard can just unscrew it on their end.

that would be the person I just got off the phone with LOL
I'm guessing there is a problem between the two. They are having some sort of issue apparently, communicating with Blizzard servers? Either way, annoying.

Slow to log on and get message"Character not found"
I've experienced the issue for a couple of days now, but it seems to not only be with the NJ area. I'm in ME and running through Fairpoint. Nothing has changed in our household and all other services that require my internet connection work just fine. But now I'm running Latency in the high 500s (and sometimes even a world latency of 1000) when I usually run well below 100.
Northern NJ - Optimum Online.

I'm usually around 31/31 on STORMRAGE.

Today I haven't dropped below 90/230.
Same issue with me. I was told that this is a peering issue between Optimum Online and ATT. ATT is poop so who knows when this will fix the problem. Maybe it was a partial outage or perhaps a worker cut the line somewhere or possibly even someone ran down the pole. Please tell ATT to fix this issue ASAP I have a raid now >_>.
Huge lag spikes since 7-7:30 PM EST. Call a tech All clear with there side, I have little to no lag internet itself so definitely blizzards servers talking to optimum and comcast ISP.
Same issue, central new jersey, optimum online.
