Can't Use Gear Due to No Longer Meeting Level Requirements

I'm level 40 and my shoulders require level 45, what do I do?I can't use the gear that I had before the prepatch.
My gear is higher than my level and all red, please help!!!
We are aware that some gear has incorrect level requirements and thus cannot be used by players who have already equipped it.
While we are working on a solution, please look into alternatives such as the Auction House, quest rewards, dungeon loot and heirlooms to replace the gear you can't use anymore.
Customer Support cannot help with this issue.
