Before You Report

Try checking Wowhead for any skill, quest, item, or NPC involved in the problem, and check the top-rated comments. You may find helpful instructions from other players about the issue, along with potential solutions/workarounds to known issues.

In-Game Bug Report

Bug reports can also be filed in-game in World of Warcraft®. Reports submitted in this fashion will not receive a response. Instead, they'll be directed to the teams responsible for addressing them.

To report a bug in-game:

  1. Press Esc.
  2. Click Support.
  3. Under What type of issue is it? section, select In-game issue
  4. Under Search articles by topic section, select the category that best fits your issue
  5. You will be presented with a list of existing issues, If you find an article related to your issue, click to see our latest news about this issue.
  6. If no related article is found, go back to Search articles by topic and select give feedback
  7. visit World of Warcraft forum
  8. Post the potential bug you found and click Submit.

Reporting through the Support Site

If you encounter a bug, you can report it on our World of Warcraft® Bug Report Forum available on the US WOW forums or through the in-game Bug Report feature in the ESC menu. Submissions posted on the forums have the benefit of allowing a community discussion around high-impact bugs, which can occasionally help in prioritizing them.

    Customer Support cannot assist with restoring any in-game items, currencies, or progress lost due to a potential bug.
