Common Problems
- Can't create a character on WoW Classic realm.
- Error: You already have the maximum number of characters allowed on this account.
- I deleted my Alliance characters to switch to Horde but now I can't create a Horde character.
You can have the following maximum number of characters across all realms on a single WoW account:
- 65 in World of Warcraft
- 50 in WoW Classic Era
- 50 in WoW Classic Progression
In addition, on WoW Classic Era PvP realms, you cannot create a character if you already have a character of the opposing faction on that realm.
Note: To manage a healthy population, WoW Classic realms may be closed for character creation at any time. For details on what realms are locked, visit the Realm Status page and game forums (America / Europe).
