- Can't get my Imp to join me in combat
- My Water Elemental stands there and doesn't attack
Water Elementals (Frost Mage pet) and Imps (Warlock minion) do not have an auto-attack. Instead they will cast spells as long as the auto-cast for their respective abilities is active —Waterbolt for Elementals, Firebolt for Imps.
Make sure your pet's ability has a golden outline circling its corresponding icon in the pet bar. If not you can activate it by right-clicking the icon. You may also cast this spell without toggling auto-cast by using the ability each time.
Pets in passive stance will not attack unless commanded.
