Common Problems

  • Waiting on Another Installation or Update.
  • Can't update World of Warcraft.
  • Hearthstone is stuck waiting for something else to update.

If your region is currently patching or undergoing maintenance you may not be able to update. Check BlizzardCS on Twitter for breaking news and information on our services. If there is no maintenance in your region follow the steps below to resolve this error.

  1. Check to see if any games or the Blizzard Battle.net desktop app are updating.
  2. Restart your computer to resolve problems caused by programs and services running in the background.
  3. Update your drivers to resolve any compatibility issues.
  4. Run a security scan to remove any viruses or malware infections.
  5. Delete the Battle.net Tools folder to automatically rebuild outdated or corrupt files.
  6. Disable or temporarily uninstall any security programs, which may mistakenly identify the login module as a security threat.
Advanced Troubleshooting
  1. Disable any proxies that may interfere with the login module.
  2. Check your network configuration to find any issues with your firewall, router, or port settings.
  3. Update Flash in Internet Explorer, even if you normally use a different browser.
  4. If you're using a wireless connection, optimize your internet connection to rule out a connection issue.
  5. Make sure Windows Secondary Logon is enabled, which Blizzard Agent requires to run correctly.
  6. If the problem persists, uninstall and reinstall the game.

Note: World of Warcraft addon managers can prevent Agent from updating game files. Disable or temporarily uninstall these programs.
