Common Problems

  • I didn't receive any loot form my bonus roll
  • After killing a boss, the bonus roll window didn't appear
  • There wasn't a bonus roll option after killing Doom's Howl in Arathi Highlands
  • Can a mount drop from a bonus roll?

Bonus roll mechanics were introduced in Warlords of Draenor. The last expansion using bonus rolls was Battle for Azeroth.

The bonus roll window will only appear upon defeating the boss with the below limits:

  • For open world bosses: once per week
  • For instanced raid bosses: once per difficulty per week
  • For Warfront world bosses: once per warfront cycle

In addition:

  • You must have one or more of the required tokens, for example, Seal of Wartorn Fate
  • You must have actively participated in the encounter

You won't qualify for a bonus roll if you were AFK, out of the instance, too far away, disconnected, or if your character was dead for the duration of the encounter.

The reward from a bonus roll will be be either a currency such as gold or Azerite Power, or an item appropriate for your loot specialization off the boss' loot table. Bonus rolls may drop mounts or pets off world bosses, but not off instanced bosses. If you receive the currency reward, your chance of getting loot on the next roll will gradually increase until you win an item, at which point the odds reset.

Note: To be eligible to receive Azerite armor pieces from bonus rolls in Battle for Azeroth content, you must first obtain the Heart of Azeroth neck item. If you use a bonus roll without owning the Heart of Azeroth, you may correctly get no reward.

If you met the requirements for a bonus roll and the window did not appear, or you were unable to see what the bonus roll awarded, you may have a damaged UI element or an addon may be interfering, please reset your user interface.

Customer Support cannot assist with missed bonus rolls or grant any missing loot.
