Common Problems
This error occurs when the Battle.net desktop app cannot write patch files to your hard drive. Follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
Windows

Make sure your computer meets all of the listed system requirements (World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, Diablo III, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, Overwatch).

Configure your security software's exception list to allow Blizzard applications to run.

Close all other applications to resolve software conflicts and free up resources.

Try running the game on an administrator account to resolve permissions issues.
Advanced Troubleshooting

Run ScanDisk and defragment your hard drive to try to repair any bad sectors.
Note: Do not defragment a Solid State Drive (SSD).
Mac
-
