All items obtained from Overwatch loot boxes are cosmetic only and do not give any additional advantage while playing the game.

Each loot box contains:

  • 4 items, or 3 items and credits
  • At least one item with rare or above quality

Average drop rates:

  • Common items are found in 99% of loot boxes
  • Rare items are found in 94% of loot boxes
  • Epic items are found in 18.5% of loot boxes
    • On average, an epic quality item will be found in 1 of 5.5 loot boxes
  • Legendary items are found in 7.5% of loot boxes
    • On average, a legendary quality item will be found in 1 of 13.5 loot boxes
