Checking Characters on an Inactive World of Warcraft Account

For modern World of Warcraft accounts, you can always log in to the game to view your characters from the character select screen on any realm.
For Classic World of Warcraft, you must add game time in order to see your characters.
On the forums you can select which character to post as, so you can see available characters there as well.
