We couldn't rename a temporary file. This could be caused by antivirus software or your hard drive may be full.

A permissions issue is preventing the Battle.net desktop app from renaming a file during an update. 

Troubleshooting

  1. Press Retry to attempt the update again. Most permissions issues are temporary.  
  2. Close all other applications to resolve software conflicts and free up resources.
  3. Configure your security software's exception list to allow Blizzard applications to run.
  4. Uninstall unused programs or files to free hard drive space and try again.
  5. Delete the Battle.net Tools folder to automatically rebuild outdated or corrupt files.
