Dialogues Missing from Some Quests in Shadowlands and Battle for Azeroth Content

Common Problems

  • I can't see or hear any dialogue from Jaina or Tal-Inara
  • The "Stay awhile and listen" option for NPCs in Korthia isn't doing anything

We have received multiple reports of this issue and are currently investigating it. Currently, we do not have a workaround or resolution that can be provided for the audio. 

The following workaround has been enabling the text for the dialogues as a temporary solution until the issue has been resolved:

  1. Open World of Warcraft menu (in game default hotkey is ESC)
  2. Click Options
  3. Under System, click Audio
  4. Uncheck the box next to Dialog
This will enable the text for the dialog, rather than the voice chat. We have received some reports that re-enabling dialog sound by re-checking the box later can temporarily bring back voice chat, but this is not consistent.
