Common Problems
- How do I obtain the Kalu'ak Whalebone Glider mount?
- I have the Northrend Epic upgrade, but I am missing the mount
- Is the Kalu'ak Whalebone Glider mount account wide?
The Kalu'ak Whalebone Glider mount is a new Flying mount based on the Tuskarr-themed kite mount. The mount is part of the Northrend Epic Upgrade and grants two models of the same mount: the Kalu'ak Whalebone Glider model in Wrath of the Lich King Classic and the Tuskarr Shoreglider model in Modern World of Warcraft.
The Kalu'ak Whalebone Glider
The Kalu'ak Whalebone Glider is available in Wrath of the Lich King Classic only.
When you purchase the Epic Upgrade, every Wrath of the Lich King Classic character on your Battle.net Account will have a quest available in-game to claim the mount. This quest can be obtained from:
- Landro Longshot in Booty Bay
- Any Innkeeper in your faction's Capital Cities
The Kalu'ak Whalebone Glider mount in Wrath of the Lich King Classic speed scales based on your riding skill. If your riding skill is Apprentice, your Kalu'ak Whalebone Glider will run at 60% speed. If your riding skill is Journeyman, your Kalu'ak Whalebone Glider will run at 100% speed. If your riding skill is Expert your Kalu'ak Whalebone Glider will fly at 60% speed. If your riding skill is Artisan your Kalu'ak Whalebone Glider will fly at 280% speed.
The Tuskarr Shoreglider
The Tuskarr Shoreglider is available in Modern WoW only.
When you purchase the Northrend Epic Upgrade, you will receive the mount in your Collection automatically; it will be available to all your characters within your Battle.net Account.
The mount works like any other mount in Modern WoW: requires at least level 10 to ride and its speed scales based on your riding skill.
