  • I'm trying to add the authenticator in the Battle.net mobile app but i get an error
  • I keep getting the error Oops, something went wrong when setting up my authenticator

This error may occur when you attempt to attach an authenticator in the Battle.net mobile app while you still have a physical authenticator tied to your account. 

Before you can attach the mobile authenticator you will need to remove the physical authenticator from your account. 

If you're still having trouble setting up your authenticator: 
  1. Ensure you are using the Battle.net Mobile App (the Battle.net Authenticator App is no longer supported)
  2. Close any apps running in the background
  3. Check your device's internet connection
  4. Make sure you have enough free space on your device
  5. Try detaching your Authenticator and reattaching it
  6. Uninstall the Battle.net Mobile App, restart your phone, then reinstall the Battle.net Mobile App
  7. Clear the Battle.net Mobile App's Data and Cache from your device's app manager, restart the app, and try again
Please note that attaching an authenticator requires that you enable Phone Notifications.
