One or more of your game files are corrupted and can’t be opened. Follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue.

  1. If you receive this error while installing from a disc, remove the disc and download the game client instead.
  2. If you're using wireless internet, try switching to an optimized wired connection.
  3. Security software may prevent the Battle.net Update Agent from running properly. Disable or temporarily uninstall security programs.
Advanced Troubleshooting
  1. Programs running in the background can conflict with the Battle.net Update Agent. Try closing background applications.
  2. You may experience errors when files are missing or corrupt. Delete the Battle.net Tools folder to have the Battle.net Update Agent recreate necessary files.
