You can use the Battle.net Code Redemption page to redeem game keys and codes, including license keys, pet and mount codes, and game time codes.
Item or pet codes distributed prior to BlizzCon 2009 and all World of Warcraft Trading Card Game item codes must be redeemed through the World of Warcraft Promotion Code Retrieval page.
Game License Key
You need to manually link a game license to your Battle.net account using an authentication key before you can play a physical copy of our game. The game authentication key is found printed on the CD sleeve, game manual, or quick start guide included inside the box.
If your box doesn't contain an authentication key, return it to the original place of purchase as it is considered defective. Customer Support can't assist with missing authentication keys from other retailers.
Pet or Mount Code
You can claim a pet or mount by entering the code from your email on the Code Redemption page. Some codes are region-specific and require you to select your region when you claim them. The pet or mount will be available to all World of Warcraft characters on your Battle.net account through the in-game Pets and Mounts Journal. If you are logged in when the code is claimed, you will need to exit the game and log back in before the pet or mount will appear in your journal.
Note: Region-specific codes can't be transferred from one region to another.
Game Time Codes
Game time codes can be redeemed on a World of Warcraft account through the code redemption page. Prepaid Game Card codes are printed on the reverse side of the card under a scratch off layer.
World of Warcraft TCG and Pre-Blizzcon 2009 Item or Pet Codes
World of Warcraft Trading Card Game item codes and older in-game item codes are redeemed in World of Warcraft. Before you can redeem your code in-game, you must exchange your printed code for an in-game code through the World of Warcraft Promotion Code Retrieval page. Visit the appropriate NPC in-game and provide your code to receive your item.
Note: World of Warcraft Promotion Code Retrieval codes are region and realm-specific. You can't transfer these codes from one region or realm to another.
