Cursor Disappears in StarCraft® II (Mac)

Keywords:

The cursor in StarCraft® II may disappear for Mac users with multiple displays, and it’s usually caused by the Confine Mouse Cursor setting. To resolve the issue, follow the steps for your window setup below.

Cursor disappears in Fullscreen and Windowed (Fullscreen) modes

  1. Completely close StarCraft II and open Terminal (/Applications/Utilities/Terminal).
  2. Enter (or copy-paste) the following command:
defaults write com.blizzard.starcraft2 allowClampProcess -bool NO
  3. There will be no output if this was done correctly. Quit Terminal.

If you experience other issues with your cursor in StarCraft II after using the command above, the following command can be used to undo the change:
defaults write com.blizzard.starcraft2 allowClampProcess -bool YES

Cursor disappears in Fullscreen mode only

  1. Completely close StarCraft II and open Terminal (/Applications/Utilities/Terminal).
  2. Enter (or copy-paste) the following command:
defaults write com.blizzard.starcraft2 allowClampProcessInFullscreen -bool NO
  3. There will be no output if this was done correctly. Quit Terminal.

If you experience other issues with your cursor in StarCraft II after using the command above, the following command can be used to undo the change:
defaults write com.blizzard.starcraft2 allowClampProcessInFullscreen -bool YES
