Customer Support’s goal is to assist in cases where property loss occurs due to a mistake or due to circumstances outside of a player’s control. It’s important to report losses as soon as possible after they occur, because the likelihood of restorations being available decreases as time passes. If too much time has gone by before a loss is reported to us, we may not be able to step in and assist.
If your World of Warcraft® account was compromised, Customer Support will be happy to investigate the situation and restore lost property where possible. Please ensure that your account is secure before you contact us for restoration. For more information on securing your account and reporting an account compromise, see our Account Compromise: What to do? article.
Restoration for sold, destroyed, and disenchanted items is only possible through our Item Restoration web form. The web form may be used once every 30 days. When a disenchanted item is restored, any materials gained from the disenchantment will be removed. If the materials are no longer available, restoration will not be possible for that item. For more information, see the Battle.net Item Restoration article.
Restorations for items lost any other way need to be reviewed by Customer Support manually. Enter a ticket in-game or on the Battle.net Support site with the name and realm of the affected character, the name of the missing item, and any other details that may help our investigation.
Note: Items with random modifiers (of the Bear, of the Whale, etc…) may lose their original modifier when they are restored. Customer Support cannot alter the modifier that the game applies to the restored item.
