To open Warcraft III's ports for a Mac OS X Firewall, follow the steps below.

Note: Warcraft III is not supported on Mac OS X 10.7 and higher.

Mac OS X 10.3 and 10.4

  1. Click the Apple menu and select System Preferences.
  2. Click Sharing.
  3. Click the Firewall tab.
  4. Click New.
  5. Select Other for the Port Name.
  6. Enter "4000, 6112-6118" for the Port Number, Range, or Series.
  7. Enter "Blizzard" for the Description and click OK.
  8. Check the On box next to Blizzard (4000, 6112-6118).

Mac OS X 10.5

  1. Click the Apple menu and select System Preferences.
  2. Click Security.
  3. Click the Firewall tab.
  4. Click the lock on the bottom left of the menu.
  5. Select Set access for specific services and applications.
  6. Click +.
  7. Navigate to the Warcraft III folder and select Warcraft III.app, The Frozen Throne.app, and BNUpdate.app.
  8. Click the lock on the bottom left to save changes.

Mac OS X 10.6

  1. Click the Apple menu and select System Preferences.
  2. Click Security & Privacy.
  3. Click the Firewall tab.
  4. Click the lock on the bottom left of the menu.
  5. Click Start to turn on the Firewall, then click Advance.
  6. Click on + (plus sign).
  7. Navigate to the Warcraft III folder and select Warcraft III.app, The Frozen Throne.app, and BNUpdate.app.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Click the lock on the bottom left to save changes.
