Uninstall Classic Games

During technical troubleshooting, it is sometimes necessary to fully uninstall and reinstall a game. Select your classic game below, then follow the steps provided.

To reinstall the game, use the CD/DVD or download a new copy from Battle.net. 

Please make a selection above.

Diablo II

Windows

  1. Click Start/Windows and select Programs.
  2. Select the Diablo II Uninstall program from the Diablo II folder.
  3. Ensure the Delete all files in the Diablo II folder option is selected.
  4. Select Uninstall.
  5. Go to the directory where Diablo II was previously installed. If the Diablo II folder is still listed, right-click the folder and select Delete

Mac

  1. Using Finder, go to /Applications/Diablo II directory,
  2. Move the Diablo II folder to the Trash.
  3. Navigate to ~/Library/Preferences and delete any files associated with Diablo II:
    • Diablo II Preferences
    • Battle.net Preferences
    • BNUpdate Preferences
    • com.blizzard.BNUpdate
  4. Empty the Trash.

StarCraft

Windows

  1. Click Start/Windows and select Programs.
  2. Select the StarCraft Uninstall program from the StarCraft folder.
  3. Ensure the Delete all files in the StarCraft folder option is selected.
  4. Select Uninstall.
  5. Go to the directory where StarCraft was previously installed. If the StarCraft folder is still listed, right-click the folder and select Delete

Mac

  1. Using Finder, go to /Applications/StarCraft directory.
  2. Move the StarCraft folder to the Trash.
  3. Navigate to ~/Library/Preferences and delete any files associated with StarCraft:
    • StarCraft Preferences
    • Battle.net Preferences
    • BNUpdate Preferences
    • com.blizzard.BNUpdate
  4. Empty the Trash.

Warcraft III

Windows

  1. Click Start/Windows and select Programs.
  2. Select the Warcraft III Uninstall program from the Warcraft III folder.
  3. Ensure the Delete all files in the Warcraft III folder option is selected.
  4. Select Uninstall.
  5. Go to the directory where Warcraft III was previously installed. If the Warcraft III folder is still listed, right-click the folder and select Delete

Mac

  1. Using Finder, go to /Applications/Warcraft III directory,
  2. Move the Warcraft III folder to the Trash.
  3. Navigate to ~/Library/Preferences and delete any files associated with Warcraft III:
    • Warcraft III Preferences
    • Battle.net Preferences
    • BNUpdate Preferences
    • com.blizzard.BNUpdate
  4. Empty the Trash.
