World of Warcraft® Mobile Armory

World of Warcraft® Remote is a free service that allows players to stay connected to certain aspects of World of Warcraft through the web or via a supported mobile device. Use of the World of Warcraft Mobile Armory service is subject to the Terms of Use. With World of Warcraft Remote, players can:

  • bid on or buy out auctions
  • place items up for sale
  • access Remote Guild Chat

To install the app, search for the World of Warcraft Mobile Armory app on your iPhone, iPod touch, or Android device. Once you’ve installed the free app, log in using your account information. You can use the app to browse the Auction House and view character, guild, and item information.

Remote Auction House

The Remote Auction House lets you access the Auction Houses through the web or a compatible mobile device. You can browse the Auction House, check the status of existing auctions, bid on or buy out existing auctions and post your own items from your bags, bank, and mailbox for sale.

To browse the Auction House via the web:
  1. Visit and log in with your account.
  2. Select the character profile you'd like to use.
  3. Click the Auctions link on the left side of the character summary page.
  4. Click the Buy button to search the Auction House.
  5. To switch between the character's faction-specific Auction House and the realm's neutral Auction House, click the link near the faction symbol in the top right corner.
To create auctions on the website:
  1. Click the Auctions link on the left side of the character summary page.
  2. Click Sell and select the item you wish to sell from the list that appears. You can sell any transferable item (excluding account-bound items) from your bags, bank, or mailbox.
  3. Set a starting price, a buyout price, the quantity you wish to sell, and the number of stacks (to create multiple auctions for that item).
To collect gold from a successful auction:
  1. Click the Auctions link on the left side of the character summary page.
  2. Click the Auctions button. From here, you can claim the gold from all successful auctions. The gold will be removed from your mailbox and given to your character. You can also reclaim gold from unsuccessful bids by clicking the Bids button.

To help prevent abuse of this service, a single World of Warcraft account can perform a limit of 200 transactions per day (including bids, buyouts, and creating auctions) through World of Warcraft Remote.

The Remote Auction House will be unavailable during periods of downtime, including the weekly Tuesday maintenance period.

Remote Guild Chat

Remote Guild Chat allows players to participate in their guild's chat channel through an app on their supported mobile device. Players can:

  • See which guild members are logged in
  • View their character's guild info
  • Participate in guild and officer chat
  • Send individual whispers to other online guild members
  • Filter chats by channel (guild chat, officer chat, and whispers)
  • Have multiple whispers active at the same time

Note: You cannot send or receive whispers to or from anyone who is not a member of your guild.

Other players will see a special remote icon in their friends list to indicate that you are using Remote Guild Chat. When you close your mobile app, you will continue to appear logged in to Guild Chat in-game until you log out of the Remote Guild Chat feature in the mobile app. Any whispers you receive while logged in to Remote Guild Chat will be received as a direct message sent to your mobile device.

Note: Blizzard employees will not contact you through the Remote Guild Chat service.
